Starting to read books regularly again. Looking for a couple of things: — Steampunk — Stories with gay or bisexual protagonists where their orientation isn't the main point of the story — Stories that portray drug use in a neutral manner — Urban fantasy or inventive high fantasy
Check out Perdido Street Station by China Mieville. A story set in a world that works on a mixture of steampunk and magic. You won't be disappointed. The Scar and Iron Council are also very good and set in the same world.
