Hi guys. Not sure if I'll be able to explain this properly but I'll give it a shot. I'm looking for any literature, fiction or not, exploring the idea of how humanity would react if there were an eventful global issue threatening. I don't want a close knit group of people wailing and crying about losing loved ones, but an exploration on a mass scale of how nations, leaders and the race as a whole would react. Be it a supervolcano, imminent meteor impact, alien invasion/visitation, a single nation with too much power, etc. Anything like that. Also, any works exploring the idea of human unity. Future or present and dealing with the theories and problems that must be overcome and that would still be faced even when a global unification is reached. Hope you can help.
