Hello, Wrting Forums.Org! For those of you who have trouble typing and/pronouncing Phonoho may call me James, Phono or some variation thereof. I collect antique phonographs and other vintage audio devices. I often acquaint poetry writing with the invention of the phonograph - a mechanical device engineered to reproduce pre recorded sound data, colored by the unique tone of its speaker horn or resonating enclosure. Essentially, an instrument through which to play the music of Human thought. Each machine on which this music is played has distinct tonal qualities of its own, requiring the inventor to make recordings universally playable. That is the work of the phonetics of poetry. "Remember, nothing that's good works by itself, just to please you. You have to make the damn thing work." Thomas A. Edison
Hey James you ok? I'm ant (if you want, drop the whole "bar yosef" thing). Im new aswell so im in the same boat as you. Have a gr8 time..
Hello James, Welcome to the Writing Forums. If you haven't explored the site yet, you should probably do so soon. Newcomers often gravitate to the Lounge, the Word Games, or the Review Room, but there is much more to be discovered if you poke in the corners. Remember to check out our FAQ as well! As for the Review Room, new joiners often wonder why we do things a bit differently on this site than on other writing sites. We emphasize reviewing as a critical writing skill. Training your eye by reviewing other people's work helps you improve your own writing even before you present it for others to see. Therefore, we ask members to review other people's writing before posting work of their own. The Review Room on this site, therefore, is a true workshop, not just a bulletin board for displaying your work. See this post, Why Write Reviews Before Posting My Work? for more information. Enjoy your stay here, and have fun!
I wholeheartedly agree with this policy. I am a submissions editor and mod on another writing forum and we have a similar policy in place. I, myself, have a singular reviewing style guaranteed to be both humourous and enlightening. I am looking forward to joining the fray. Thank you.
Well come! (Yes, I know they are incorrect spellings of 'welcome', but not of a well that just came...) You seem to be quite a philosophical person, and it is great to have you here. Make yourself comfy and ask any questions if needed.
Hello there and welcome to our merry throng. Should you have any questions then don't hesitate to ask, I'm sure you 'll find us an agreable collective. Looking forward to seeing you around the site, you would seem a most welcome addition.

Thanks to all. I'm enjoying the refreshing atmosphere here. I'll be in and out on a daily basis and would love the opportunity to review everything but I am only human, so if I don't get to your work please let me know. I appreciate the welcoming voices.

Dear Writer, Welcome to one of the fastest growing writers forums on the web. I’m sure if you hang around long enough you’ll begin to make new friends and enjoy becoming a participating member of the writersforum.org. I am sure that you as a new member will bring something unique and valuable to the forum, as well as find it an interesting and wonderful place to explore and learn more about the wonderful world of writing. I have been away for awhile myself, and unfortunately have not been able to keep up with greeting the large influx of new members personally. Please forgive, but except my sincerest and belated welcome to the forum. Cordially yours, Trailer Trash
I'm not really new, just back after a lengthy absence and with plans to wade waist-deep into some poetry reviews.
