Cigarette? (the answer for the first riddle)

I mean at the beginning the cigarette is long, but as you smoke it it grows short. In the dark, cigars glow and if you inhale it with it in mouth, the burning process becomes swifter. Am I correct?

    A riddle that I made

    I whisper tales,
    When your eye fails.
    But as you rise,
    My story dies.
    What am I?

    Good riddle, caimomile.

It's a dream. When you go to sleep, you dream. And when you wake up, it vanishes.

    I have a second guess... a spindle.

The threads on the spindle can be any colour of the rainbow.
If the spindle is coiled, it can stand up, but if it's empty, it has to lie down, i.e. on its stomach.
A large spindle can contain the wool of 100 sheep (I hope).

    easy one :D

a man walks from the sand pile at the construction site, fills up a bag and carries it to the cement mixer as many as 10 times a day.

one day he figured out that he could put something in the bag to make it lighter and easier to carry.

    what was it?

Ha, I looked at the riddle (code) I posted, and I really can't remember what my thoughts were when I posted it. So I'm not sure if it is a code or a riddle, and what the answer is. So if anyone figures it out, I'll be impressed. All I know is that it made a lot of sense at the time.

Here is another riddle. This one should make some more sense.

How did John legally marry three women in Michigan, without divorcing any of them, becoming legally separated, or any of them dying?

Wouldn't work. State laws don't recognize polygamy as legal, even on religious grounds.

Even the Church of Modern Day Saints (the Mormons) had to yield to that.
