They tried to make her go to rehab, but she said no, no, no.

    Real shame.

I'm not surprised at all. I think most knew it was just a matter of time. You have to wonder about her death at the age of 27, though. Was she aware of the other rock stars (Hendrix, Cobain, Morrison, Brian Jones, Janis Joplin) who died at that age as a result of "misadventures"?

Her poor mother talked about her daughter's last words to her being "I love you, mum" and how those would be the words she would always remember her daughter saying to her. It makes you think about the final things you say to your mom before you leave to go anywhere.

Thankfully, yes. I live farther north in the country, so I was never in danger. But I have family around there, and I know a girl who was on the island. She was saved, thank God. Another friend got a message from a friend of his, saying we shouldn't call her because she was hiding from the shooter. I don't know what happened to her, but I hope she made it. I was following a norwegian forum several hours Friday and most of yesterday, and far too many people there said some of their friends were killed. :(

Tragic. I know a lot of our thoughts here in the U.S. are with the people of Norway.

She had a really good singing talent, too, and I wish people could have seen that instead of the drug-fueled life she led.

It's kind of hard to miss when she throws up onstage.
