Welcome back Thanos. I've been looking every day and every day there is almost nothing going on here in the RPG's. Happy Birthday Foxee.
Wow! Another December birthday...I was just noting how many people I know whose birthdays are in December...
Thanks, Zions! We have a lot of December b-days here, too. Nothing much else to do in March, I suppose.
I just read it how just must have read it, and that's not good Been working on an RPG of my own, not that it will come out any time soon (6 running RPG's, 6 RPG's that will start between a week from now and 2 months from now). Guess I'll have plenty of time to draw the maps, write some background stories, etc. etc..
You can PM me what you have if you want. Can't promise to read it all incredibly quickly but I'll do what I can.
Nah, don't want to bother you with a raw idea of four pages But I tend to finish initial preps in a week or so, so maybe I'll bother you with it then
I just put an add-to-the-story in word games for those of us who are missing our RPGs and cooling our heels till the others get back. No profiles needed, you control everything for 50 words before someone else takes a turn.
Greetings one and all! I just wanted to let you know that I shall be absent starting this afternoon (in a few hours) and shall be so for an indeterminate length of time (a few days at the very most). I'm making a pilgrimage to Edmonton to have some specialists take a look at my retinas, and I'm not sure as yet what exactly they'll find or how long it'll take them to fix it. I could be in and out, and back here on Tuesday, or I could be there for a while. I may have Net access and I'll try to come in now and then and catch up on my reading. In the meantime, I'm afraid the Third Earth quest will be put on relative hold. You guys are free to interact at camp, and even travel on for a couple days if you like, but DO NOT write anything about the farmer's village, the swamp, etc, and please don't arrange any attacks. Other than that, you guys can interact as much as you like until I return and get it moving. For Exodus and Continent, Derek's still wounded, and should be fairly easy to NPC. As for Kaius, he'll stick close to Sera and do the general things that Kaius does. Thanks, guys!
Nooo! Aww, I hope it all goes well for you Teele. We'll do our best to cope and ensure that the RPG forum is still standing when you return... Hurry back
Have fun Teele. But know that we'll be waithing. And watching you. We're always watching you On a side note, I was wondering what type of RPG games you guys prefer; - Mission based (Like Sanctuary was) - Free with Divine guidance (the famous green posts by Jade in Continent) - Free with PC guidance (like Exodus; small difference between Jade's and Blossom's GMing, but, well, I hope you get what I mean)
Hmmm....Played 'em all. Enjoyed 'em all. I guess I like a bit more freedom but I still like things to move along. Plus, you have to figure out what works with your game and what you're comfortable with.
Noirs are great. Adventures are great! Survival stories are a lot of fun. Cyberpunk is fantastic. If we could figure out how to do a mystery that would be awesome.
yea, like a whodoneit... me and flux was talking about doing one, but there's a lotta details to work out...
yeah, that's what we figured. we'd have to cast roles and leak information to certain characters and trust that people wouldn't share the secrets entrusted to them. It would get pretty complicated. what about a vampire epic?
RPG's are complicated. They're supposed to be complicated, after all, you are creating an entire world. Which is complicated. And my RPG will be steampunk, one of my favorite genres... Just hope I'm not the only one who likes the genre
Aye indeed. For game style, I was very impressed with the way Darkthought handled Sanctuary with the mission-based approach. I didn't think I'd like it that much when I first heard of the idea, but I find it strikes a very nice balance between GM guidance and player creativity. Of course, it has to work for your particular game if its gonna work at all. A mystery would certainly be interesting! As said, something like that would be a big job to coordinate. I'm not real big into vampiric lore, but it would certainly be interesting to try one! I have a couple RPG ideas of my own that will come after Crystan gets done (if it ever does. ): I'd like to do both a Star Wars RPG, and a Matrix RPG. Thanks for your best wishes, by the way, guys. Y'all have been a great crew to work with!
the vampire story we had in mind wasn't actually humans fighting vampires... it was more like all the players would be vampires with different views and the occasional fights...
