3's a party afterall, and i bet there will be more than just us 3 that'll join. It's time to give this section some much needed CPR.
I would make an rpg. unfortunately tough, im only good at making characters. I could always make an rpg based on Fate/Stay Night and the Holy Grail War though. Of course, we'd need 7-14 (maybe 5 or 6 at min. could go more than 14 okay) dedicated players. if we had the lower part of the spectrum, most everyone would have to stay till the end. if we had the upper part we'd be okay though.
So I've got an idea. I've only been hanging around the RPG zone just long enough to watch 'In the Forgotten keep' be born and then fade. But I was thinking that since this is a writing forum why not have a game based around writing skill. By that I mean that participants compete to weave the most engaging story. You could put a minimum word goal, and a maximum of course. At the end of each chapter there could be a vote and the winner would be awarded enhancements for their character, and a bigger lead in the story. The goal would be quality not quantity. I know that I am new but I love to make worlds and plots/stories. If anyone is interested, I'll give it a whirl.
How about the Pen Police? There is a special force out there called the Pen Police. And they are like detectives with magic pens so they can like write what they want. Like: We have found a concealed tomb it will take three days to open it up, so instead we teleport into the tomb. And they teleport into the tomb.
Well, I have my game mostly ready. I'll have a good, steady, fast internet connection when I get back to campus this weekend, so expect it to go up then (if not sooner).
Okay, so, if you're read my first 3 posts, you'll know I'm a complete end of the world apocalypse nut. Mainly zombies actually. So here's my 1 penny: Zombie apocalypse. Before it starts those who are interested can post up and say (no character development yet) that they are interested. Author then grabs all the names and randomly chucks them into groups of survivor hauled up into where ever (Mall shop with closed security gate/someones house/school with stone perimeter wall/etc.). Or if there's a severe lack in players then they're all together. Then the players can develop their character and do whatever, if they go outside they get munched unless they have a feesable (sp?) plan. Those who join late (anytime after the start of the game) will be pitched on their own and the author can be as mean as he/she likes to funnel them to the main groups so it's less of a bother to govern what's happening with all the zombies. Anyone can feel free to extend/alter/differ this a bit. But for god sake if you guys think it'll work, make it work! I don't have time to manage, build and post this.
now for my 1 cent on his one cent. which makes two cents. Good idea... but seriously un-original. We'd just be playing out Left 4 dead. What we need are unique, original ideas. or at least a unique mechanism behind them.
ehh, it's not too unoriginal, every zombie apocalypse goes differently, mainly with how the government reacts, but the different zombies help. I was thinking just the George A Romero zombie, no boomers, tanks, smokers, hunters, witches, mudmen, spitters, chargers or zombies in hazmat suits to be seen... ...But that's fair enough I guess... ...How about some kind of movie spin off? (no, doesn't have to be a zombie one...) like cloverfield? or the happening? that would be interesting, the happening.....
That sounds very very interesting... I bet DB would even come back for that. So what would we actually be doing plotwise?
Okay here is the backstory: Plot: The Banner: Opulent Origins Coming Soon YES, I made the banner by myself.
Nice. Very nice. So we find these tribal people who have something to do with demons. What kind of fighting can we expect? magic fireballs, fantasy style? Laser rifles, sci fi style? Some unique mix of both like you're last RPG?
