I'll gladly throw out some ideas when there's a more concrete concept than a vague "urban fantasy" RP. I basically need something to get my creative brain started.

I see what you mean, Honorius. I dunno if we'll get enough people here though...

Honor if I honestly cared what the consequences were when I posted that RP site I wouldn't have posted it at all. No one's here to moderate, Teele has his own thing going now and you know it, he's not coming back. Plus if Oasis has been on but never decided to take the time to post on here then I'm pretty sure this thread has no leader anymore.

I would also like to point out for those of you who have to wait for their ideas to be approved wait no more. At the Guild you can post your RP ideas and just wait for enough people to be interested to have a run with it.

P.S. Honor you dog you, getting a new girlfriend ;)

    Hey guys!

I haven't been able to do anything yet about a storyline because I've been busy with Uni work and traveling the past week. I just read all the latest posts, and would be interested in participating in an Urban/Modern fantasy if someone could get one up. I don't think we should wait for approval, because it probably won't happen (as someone said, you've been waiting for a month). So, if someone has an idea, let's do it!

This here land is lawless! But I agree. Right now, unless someone is picked as a new Mod (Cogito, I know you're watching), this area is lawless, which means our options are move, or start anew. While I like some of the other RP sites, I'm partial to Writing forums. Plus, other sites, like roleplayer's central just move to fast for me too keep up with. I don't have the time.

So, while you all are free to explore other sites, I think it's time we ourselves, (unless Cog shows up and brings order) (I can't sound like too much of a revolutionary) take control of the RPG section. I believe threads for new RPG's will not appear until approved, and if Oasis isn't approving, then we have three things to do.

    1. Try to contact Oasis again.

    2. Get a hold of Cog or another big time Moderator.

    3. Work on a new RPG. If we have not restored order before it's ready, I guess we could always post it in the discussion section.

It's time to fix this place up, but we mustn't be mutinous. (why do I feel like we're mutinous?)

Yep, I agree with every point you just made. I like a slower paced rpg, plus the 2 earalyer links wont work in my college, ones blocked, the other just didn't work.
I sent a basic proposal to Oasis, then tried asking Cog, but was of coarse ignored. The rpg's where what atracted me to this site in the first place. I hope somethings to change, perhapse it will, perhapse it'll simply die.

Honor the only reason RPC moves so fast is because there are 50 people playing 1000 characters in one freaking game, I **** you not. The only active games anymore are Terminus and Ardus, they don't play Stand alones because they never finish them.

And I agree you need a new moderator, I'd be happy to volunteer cause I at least get **** done and I get it done right.

Finally not to push the other site thing over the edge I just want to point out there's a lot of variety at the guild, 3 levels of writing, multiple forums and threads to choose from, plus there are some pretty decent ideas out there from originals to fanfictions. Someone actually made this cool Death Note game that took place after the Death Note series. Though at the end of the show they made it seem like it was all in his head it was actually a government cover up and all of these cell mates committed suicide at the same time shouting out "I am Kira". Really fun stuff.

Well then. In a few minutes I'm going to send a pm to Oasis and Cogito, and if no reply, I'll try any other mods I can find. (I'm a nearly 2,000 post senior member who's made tons of posts in RPG and outside and who started outside the RPG section. Maybe I'll have a bit of extra luck catching attention.)

Sorry for the double post, but I've PM'd Oasis Writer, Teele, Cogito, and Wreybries (probably spelled that wrong.) I doubt Teele will even see it, and Oasis might, but Cogito and Wreybries should see that and hopefully will give it a bit of attention.

In the mean time, I'm trying to start an RPG elsewhere. (It's the idea I sent to Oasis, but since he didn't respond I'm posting it there.) I'm looking for a good number of writers (8-9), and you're all free to join if you want.

    http://www.writingforums.com/rpgs/119302-land-five-discussion-thread.html

I'm not sure if that's allowed, but I'm too freaking impatient. I want to start it, but haven't gotten any takers yet.

I like that! Let's see if we can get the attention of the mods and then get it on here. That other forum looks too cluttered and unorganised!

I am already thinking of a character for it.

Hmmm... Sounds interesting. Of course, the signing is going to go all wrong and our group of adventurers is going to have to go save/stop/find someone/something. Quite the generic fantasy RPG, but might have some promise.

    Ewwwww... Halo fanfiction RPGs.... Blegh...

Earphone - are you having the North (particularly Hort'neer) be all winter-y and snow-y and its people viking-like barbarians? And if so, are they good or evil? Because I'm having trouble with the 'alignment' part for a character. Surely each of the countries is good for itself and evil for the others? o_O

Of course it's generic, if you make a fully developed intricate plot before it even starts, how are the other writers gonna be able to put their mark on it?

Yeah, viking-esque barbarians. I'd thought more of Farisce being snowy, since it's situated in the mountains. Hort'neer being snowy sounds like a good idea though, but maybe just in the furthest North part of it. Everything gets warmer, the closer it gets to the Dargadel.

As far as "good and evil", none of the nations are really truly "evil". The citizens are generally good, the warriors are good-ish, but they are loyal to the leaders, and the leaders are evil.

    Hope that helps.

I'm glad that you're interested, and developing a character. While I agree that the other forum is rather cluttered, I'd still prefer to write there where everything's already in place. Not to mention, I wouldn't have to wait for approval to start. If we're only talking to each other and writing in the discussion and story threads, I don't think the un-organization of the rest of the forum would matter.

I've gotten two other writers onboard, though one has yet to post his character. I hope you're still willing to write with us. I'm really wanting to start this, and will wait a couple more days. After that, people will just have to hop in and catch up.

If you want to post something, please just post it. If it's solid and written out completely, IT WILL BE ACCEPTED! Please read latest Sticky Thread post within both the RPG and RPG Discussion thread.

Oasis has replied! (as you can see). Which makes me very happy.

    I feel better now. :D

There are now a few things I feel we have to do. The first thing is that our new comers, such as Earphone, really ought (need) to go spend a bit of time in the rest of the forum. Do some critiques, help out in the general writing section, give some advice and read some poems. Not only will you be contributing to the community here, you will also be bettering your own writing skills. Because here we come to write before we come to RPG.

Second, we need to start up a new RPG. While I like the fantasy, I would really really enjoy an urban/modern fantasy (like crimson rose but less apocalyptic). A few of you mentioned you'd like to throw around some ideas. Let's do just that soon. Let's get something going between two or three of us. With two or three of us developing and GMing, even if one of us is busy, there are others to pick up the slack.

And Oasis. Thank you so very much for replying promptly. I thank you *Bows*

One more thing though. Should an RPG not be approved, the requester will be told that he was denied and why, yes? I may be wrong, but this seems to have been the case and such a thing would be confusing.

    Thank you again!

Responses are given to those that are active members of the community. Most of the time, when I have given a reply that I felt was needed to be said, the person never returns, or never even read the message sent. If, for instance, I had to reject a game of yours Honorius, I would most definitely tell you because you have done a lot for this community and these two Forums that I watch over. Of course I'm going to give you the decency that you have given me.

Like I have said though to many that come with a similar complaint that I've read throughout this specific thread a lot: a game cannot be approved if you do not at least try posting it. I have only seen attempts by a few members recently, one of them the newest member among the fray, Earphone, and I apologize that I have been very busy.

Yay! Response! I think that if he has an idea for an RPG, he should go along with it. I wouldn't mind doing a fantasy one.

But I also think you have a good idea Honor. I have a big break coming up after next week, so I wouldn't mind co-GMing with someone (I'd like to try it). So yeah, let's get some brainstorming going for an Urban/Modern Fantasy.

Okay then. Urban Fantasy! And Fantasy!

So, Earphone, if you'd still like to try and make your fantasy work here, (which I hope you do) spend some time around the other areas of the forum and get back to us. It might be too much for me to ask, but I'd really love if you could work your way up to being a senior member first. I think that's something like 100 posts. I know it seems like a lot, but it will really establish you here.

As for the urban fantasy, I'm heading to school soon and I'll do some brainstorming there. In the mean time, I would love if you, forgotten, would also do some brainstorming and then later we can compare ideas over PM.

Alright here it is then, I'll have to message the other writers and let them know. As for 100 posts, I'll see what I can do.
