You can do either, it just depends on the GM of the RPG. If you want to join one that is already running, you could try to ask the GM if they would let you and then you catch up on the story so far. Or, you could wait until a new one comes out and join that one.

If you want to join one that already exists, you could even potentially pick up one of the abandoned characters that haven't been killed off yet - haha!

 

Looks like a lot's been going on since I've been gone. And a lots changed....

Hey Honor, I'm good, although bummed that my RPGs are moving slowly... Are you back to play?

 

I am! At least I think so. Somehow I seem to have more spare time while at college to do things like this, so I'm going to try again! And the site is just so pretty now! Anyhow, I'm going to try joining in on an RPG or two. (maybe try yours again? maybe that one with halfbloods? idk) But if it seems to me that I have time to do so, I'm going to start a new RPG. I feel like that's where my strength lies, and where I have the most fun. Plus, ive got some ideas.

 

I'm already in two RPGs, but they've quieted down considerably. It tempting to restart my game, but I think I should wait till I'm done with what I've got going before trying to run a game again. That said if you start something you know I'll be interested

 

Great, I've been waiting for quite a number of days for a new RPG to start.

It wasn't inappropriate or anything, when can I expect it to show up?

 

Hey folks! New to the site (just joined today) and I've migrated from my old RP site. I'm usually a daily poster and was hoping to jump in to a couple of threads if anyone would have me, and/or start up a fantasy RP thread to flesh out a world I'm building.

Heart of Star v2.0

Hey all, a couple people have asked me about restarting 'Heart of Star' which met an untimely demise due to personal crisis. The original thread seems to be gone so HoS v2.0 will start again from the beginning with a new cast of characters, and a looser reigns from the GM.

Here is the hook:

I'm a weekday poster and if we get a good team together I will post 1-3 posts per week to keep the game going. We may be able to start as early as the 17th of Oct.

Any takers?

I think I screwed something up in the original submission. I resubmitted today hopefully it will approved soon. In the meantime for those interested I there are some short story snippets from the game universe posted in my BLOG

I don't know where Oasis or the other Mods went, but I'm still waiting for game approval (or a rejection notice)...

 

Considering that everything else is pretty much dead, or languishing in a vegetative state, I'd say this rule is in effect. I.E., why are people trying to have things approved, when obviously games are no longer being approved by the traditional methods? Or perhaps I'm the only one interpreting the post in that way.

Hmm, that's not the way I read it. I understood it to mean that the lack of RPGs approved was due to the lack of games that fit the criteria, and that any game that fit did would be approved. I PMed Oasis but haven't heard back yet. Hopefully I will soon though.

 

Yeah, been waiting ages for this! Hawken, why don't you post it as a discussion for now? Then people can begin making characters and you can see how many people want to join and everything.

 

Hmm. I've been wrong before, of course. But considering the fact that Oasis hasn't made a single forum post since mid-March, you might be waiting for quite some time still.

 

Yeah, Oasis usually stays behind the scenes. I think the only posts I've ever seen him make have been to approve games, or post about game approval. I may have to take it to a different Mod to get things moving.

I would but Cogito specifically forbade doing so. Maybe I'll just ask him directly.
