    Hi, I'm new, but I love RPGs, so I really have an interest in this place. On a past forum, I had something which was quite successful going.
    I've read the guide you put up. Can I ask if a sandbox RPG is a good thing? Not to say that I can't organise a plot, but I love a feeling of open-endedness. I want to make an RPG that has a real sense of player freedom, without it going off the rails.

    By the way, it's also Sci-Fi, based on my novel, Freelancer. It might even go under a similar name, but it won't follow a similar plot. In fact, i'll try to avoid the plot of my novel as much as possible. If I could get some advice while I plan it (during which I'l familiarise myself with the forum), I could get it started and it might work quite well. So please, help me!

    Hey guys! Is there any news about getting new RPGs posted? Has anyone tried to get in touch with Cogito or any of the other mods?

    Thebreadbug, a sandbox RPG would be fine! I think if it has some sense of direction it's easier on the admin though.

    I haven't heard anything, I'm pretty disapointed. Bonsai said he was looking into it, but he didn't respond when I msged him to check up on things...

    Hmm... try Cogito - he's usually responsive. I am really yearning to play an RPG after having finished Dragon Age 2 this weekend - haha!

    Well, okay so I'm kinda lost :confused: and ...disappointed...? So lost that I'm not even sure "disappointed" is how I feel... I thought I can jump into a RPG and start writing/playing/typing like crazy! But, now I'm stomped... what's going on with the RPG in here? Are you all (we) at a stand-still? That's how I understand from reading several posts back... ?

    hey guys, there is some movement afoot with the admins and the RPG section. I've been in touch with Bonzai, and things might get better (or at least different) soon. I'll let you know more when I find out more.

    In the meantime my game is live! I'm hoping that we can get going next week.

    Never fear, as long as Daniel approves we will have a NEW RPG mod soon.

    In the meantime in looks like Banzai opened up most of the posts in the RPG section.

    Oh my god - The Legend of The Crystal Flames! I loved my character in that RPG! I will have to make a similar one in the next RPG.

    Yeah, that was my very first RPG and still one of my favorites.

    I'm thinking of immortalizing a few really well done games as examples for newcomers and aspiring Game Masters. I'd like to get some suggestions, dredge a handful out of the archives, have a vote, and then list them with links in a sticky.

    Any suggestions of exemplary past games?
