Welcome Amelyn! Spellbound would be a great game to start I think. Also the Newcomers game, The Orb of Pyritus is designed to be easy to join.

@All, just FYI I'll be out for till Friday at least on a business trip. Happy RPing!

Hey guys! I haven't been on here in a while. Sorry, life has been a bit hectic recently with me trying to find a new job etc. I would really like to get back into an RPG, and was wondering if there was any I could easily join right now?

I read your message above Hawken - is Orb of Pyritus still easy to join? :)

Yay Forgotten! Glad to have you back. The Orb is always open and should be easy. Asili is also another good bet, the first version was very exciting.

I've always had my eye on orb. I'll try to catch up! Do you think fully catching up on it would be helpful, or can I have my character enter with the most recent events?

I'm also thinking to start a new one of my own. Either get Fall of Terrafel going again with a new-ish storyline, or one that involves more player versus player action.

I didn't read all of the old Orb of Pyritus. I think you'll be able to catch up pretty quick by starting at chapter two and reading character sheets.

@everyone else: I'm debating wether or not to kill off Taliza and bring in my original idea (an elf character.) That way there would be less dragons and a new race. Any thoughts?

So, It's like 12 at night where i am but my brain is on overload and I've gotta throw this idea out there before it runs out of my brain. I apologize in advance if anything I say makes no sense.

I've thought about the idea, And I'm sure others have too, about doing a Star Wars Rpg. I think it would be totally fun! Just putting it out there...in the near future...we should have a Star wars rpg. So yeah, random thought for the night. Enjoy. :)

Hahaha! Figures you would be. :) You'd be an excellent one too if your work with Bellphim is any indication.

Star wars? Awesome :) It's got my vote - great thing about star wars is it has soooo much history that you can start it whenever, with your own timeline and story - or put it in a setting with one of the films etc. Good idea!

I'd Gm it but I've got Asili. I'd be willing to be an Assistant Gm however. Anyone want to step up to the plate?

I am heavily against a Star Wars RP. There are already a vast number of RP sites dedicated to that sort of thing. It doesn't really breed creative original ideas IMO, because if you want it done right you have to go with the pre-set history of the SW universe. I'd rather see a universe created from an individual's own idea, rather than many fanfic series written by nerds over the many years. (No offense, nerds.)

I really hate fanfic... I am very biased toward anything even resembling fanfic, so perhaps I shouldn't be taken entirely seriously; I simply wanted to state my opinion.

Go for it, Earphone. This is a safe place. I just know that sometimes its easier to take the history of a pre-made place and go from there. It's still able to be a unique story (especially if you do a totally different time period) just with a not so unique background.
An Idea came to mind that we could attempt something like Jedi and Sith in Modern day times.
But then I thought it sounded a little to much like a superhero type story so, yeah.

    But I guess we'll see. :)

While I share Earphone's many of feelings about fan-fic, I'm not against it here. Really the only one that gets benefit from world creating in our RPGs is the GM, and don't get me wrong its actually a huge benefit to the GM, but GMs are the minority. To the player it makes little difference if they were working within the GM's created world, or a world built by the nerdom at large. The main benefit players gain is in character development and developing their writing style, two things that are relatively indifferent to where the universe originated.

    Just my 2 cents. ;)

Hey there, folks! It's been awhile!

My schedule has solidified somewhat, and I think I'd like to try to work in some RPing again. I have some ideas for games of my own, but I think I should get back into the swing of playing before I attempt running. Are there any games currently recruiting?

Welcome back Dustin! NaturOil just started up this week so that would be good bet, and many of the other games that have been moving slowly would surely be glad to have a creative, veteran RPer join them.

I would like to Co-GM a new rp, if anyone would be interested in creating an rp. I don't think I'm ready to GM my own, but I would love to become an inside man or something. Just message me if you want/need a Co-GM or even just an idea pitcher.

I actually just came on to see if someone wanted to do something similar. It's a lot of work to run an RP, so I tend to stay away from it, but I thought that if I got some more people to do it with me then it could work very well. I'm just itching to do an RP in a setting that I really enjoy with regular posts from the players. PM me and we'll start disgussing what we wanna do. I've run my own RPs before, both on this site and on others, so if you're a rookie at it, no biggie. It'll definetly be nice to colaborate with someone though.

And hey, if anyone is interested in joining a dorment RP I did with my good friend (Who has, unfortunatly, given up on it), then please PM me. I only want a couple of people who would be willing to stick with it and be seriouse about it. It's quite fun actually. It's in a sci-fi setting, so if you're not good at that sort of writing, then maybe it's not for you.

    Whats the RP admin?

I was going to revive paradiesos but there doesn't seem much point adding another RPG when there's not much activity.

It's an old sci-fi RP I did with a friend back in 09 and 10. It has its own forum. If you wanna check it out, please feel free to ask me for the link via PM.
