It does seem a 'thing.' A lot of people derive great pleasure in painting everything, everything out in their minds, sometimes little worlds and universes, and this gives them pleasure. The writing anything, anything down part is for them the most challenging aspect, and sometimes not even part of the exercise, not where the fun lies - for them. My current fantasy universe is Isle Au Haut, Maine. The title of a good song, and kind of a quiet place that ties me to that period in history when fishermen would trawl Newfoundland Banks, and not even care to see what lay over the horizon, I think we call it America. Anyway, the fishermen's children's children colonized Isle Au Haut. So, coastal.
