My first was Pokemon Crystal. Not only am I a gamer now, but I still follow the Pokemon series semi-religiously.
My first game was Super Smash Brothers on the 64. Good times Anyway, I'm waiting for Asune to post...
I've always been a computer gamer, so my first games were back when I was 5 years old. Pajama Sam, ftw! But when I was 8-9 I played Donkey Kong Country, Mario Kart, and Zelda on my uncle's Super Nintendo he let me borrow.
Asune do you reckon I could still join? I wasn't that interested in SN at first but...well, I misjudged it.
Macaberz: Is an open RPG, so one can join at anytime. I dunno if you really misjudged it or not I'm indeed taking a risky bet with this game.
Why did the masked guy try to kill the girl? Why not just take the gun or knock her unconcious? Geez. Lol.
Well seeing as this rpg has no child characters yet ill take upon myself to fill that spot in case anyone is wondering why I tend to pick young male chararacters, that is because I want to practice writing from a child perspective. There is very few writing advice on the matter for some reason... Well anyway, ill try to come up with a nice character.
Name: Norton Grimm Appearance: Norton is short for his age. His skin is pale from lack of sunlight. His eyes are a dark brown and shift irregulary underneath his heavy brows. Brown, short hair clears his forehead with a jagged hair line to the side. He is dressed in a black suite with a white button up shirt underneath and a red bow tie. Age: 14 Personality: Norton is quite an exceptional kid. Through some convenient accidents in his family, Norton has become the one and only owner of Grimm inc, a powerful and exceptionally wealthy corporation responsible for most of Anheldrim's fossil energy supply. He can't relate to kids his age at all, he is much too serious and intelligent to be bothered by things such as "playing". The only thing Norton plays are games of the mind, he enjoys puzzles and will stop at nothing, nothing to solve them. It's a good thing most people can't hear his eccentric, brutal thoughts. He looks down on most people for their stupidity. He despises the ordinary. Lastly, Norton is a passionate follower of the church of Anheldrim, even though his reasons for this are unknown. Background: Will reveal through story. Art: Eloquence [speaking]. (Yes, I think being an outstanding public speaker is an art). Expression: Norton uses words, body language, black mailing, threats and other psychological tricks to talk his opponents into doing as he pleases, Skills: Persuasion: Norton can persuade others to do as he pleases. There are limits of course. The more a person is wanting to do what Norton commands, the more control Norton gets. If the opponent resists heavily Norton will have either very limited control or no control at all. By control I mean that Norton can influence the thinking of a person, he can make people feel miserable, forcing them into suicide or make them feel angry towards a certain target, forcing that person to beat up the other. What am I?: Norton causes the target to begin to doubt him or herself and his or her motives. Through words he forces his target to reflect upon him or herself. Very useful for giving that final push Once again, this can be resisted by strong willed characters.
I love how many of the skills of many characters dwell into psychological or subconscious aspects. Or even some laws that affect the nature of the mind. You're all being very imaginative with that. However is also due to that nature that I'll ask you to control yourself to not go too broken with the skill. Anyway approved of course.
I will try not to overpower. Everyone should always be able to resist. I was thinking that Norton would be at his strongest when emotions run high.
Speaking of emotions...Avalyn's going to be an emotional mess. Lots has happened, I'm having a hard time knowing where to start.
Btw players I said earlier that after this introduction a player will be GMing his part of the story, as it was clearly stated in the contract (Opening post). So I had already been PMing with this played, and soon it will begin with his GMed part. Now tihs was the risky bet of the game. To let some players to GM their stories, created by the effect of the Scarlet Nocturne. I hope it goes well.
