Hello all! So, has anyone read the Septimus Heap series? I've recently finished the fourth book, and, might I say, it is a scrumptious read. At first I thought, "Oh, a family of seven, magic, an orphan, phhhh...another Harry Potter ripoff." But how wrong I was. It couldn't have been any more different than Harry Potter, establishing its own original rules for magic and bringing about a different style of writing. Okay, I know, I know...it's a "kid" targeted series, but I've never been tied down by those age groups. If you ever find the time to read this series, I'd highly recommend it. Thoughts?
