    Short Story Tournament?

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by Mordecai, Feb 4, 2008.

    Just a thought.

Who else thinks having a tournament with lets say 16 or so people with brackets, and each round is given a certain topic decided on by the members. Sort of like the weekly contest but with different bragging rights lol. I just think it's a fun idea.

Sounds fun but perhaps a bit tough to implement.

A good idea. Take it to the short story contest forum, or to Gannon, since he's lord and master of the short story contests.

No, the Suggestions thread is the proper place for this idea. Please don't create threads in the short story contest forum unless directed to do so by contest rules.

I think the idea does have logistical problems, as MarcG indicated. Once a tournament reaches the second level, new contestants would be locked out by the nature of the challenge, and every remaining entrant would have to continue participating on schedule to completion.

Interesting idea, but it seems impractical to me.
