Crap crappety crap crap CRAP. When will I please these people? It's always "you aaaalmost had us" with them. It makes me strive for it more, but, ugh...it's just disappointing when they actually like your work but it just doesn't quite cut it. I will get a story published there someday, I swear, haha.
I know you will do it Ash. If it helps, I went through this same thing. It took ten rounds before one editor finally said yes. Besides, clearly they liked the ending. ~R

That's too bad, Ash. The "please keep trying us" line is promising, though; the editors seem to really like you and have really considered you, and that's a plus, right? It's a bummer, but there's still that silver lining... No advice for you as you're probably already working with the short criticisms they've given you, but good for you for keeping up the drive to get published in their magazine. Thanks guys, i'm not giving up. I'm actually about to send off another one to the same place, haha. And there's another that I sent off yesterday elsewhere....now i'm considering where to send other stories, including this one that just got rejected. w00p.
