    Significence in movies...

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by nacht, Jan 2, 2010.

Alright, I was wondering if I was the only one who noticed in (or has seen) the movie Boondock Saints.

In the beginning, when there is a bar fight, the Russian Mafia grunt's name is Ivan Chekhov. Now, I know who that is and what he is famous for, but I wanted to know if anybody else got that err... reference.

I'll give you one hint: rifle.

The only bell ringing here is Anton Chekhov.

The only Russian rifle I can think of is Kalashnikov, which doesn't seem relevant.

EDIT: With a quick and hearty application of some google-fu, I got it.

I guess I was onto a bit. I've heard that saying before, just never knew who said it.

It's alright, I got the first name a little quirky. The name is actually Anton Chekhov (almost said Anton LaVey, lol... what a mix-up.)

Mammamaia, I'm sure you've heard of Anton Chekhov... however, whether or not you've seen the movie The Boondock Saints is an entirely different subject of discussion altogether.

It involves a gun, the first scene of a play and its final act. ;)
