    Hey all,

Skip Donahue here. I reside in Denver, Colorado, where I work as a freelance writer. Over the past few years I've published in newspapers and I even wrote a few strategy guides for Bradygames, namely World of Warcraft.

Currently, I am working on a fantasy novel series and loving it. Once I got past the beginning hurdles, the novel started to write itself. Should be done and ready for re-writing in a month.

I love video games (playing with my Wii, although that sounds dirty!), eating sushi, and discovering new rock bands. I volunteer at my church a few times a week with our youth group and help out as needed as well.

Just thought I'd pop in and say hello! I joined about a week ago and it's about time I got around to introducing myself :)

Hi Skip, I love writing fantasy too, actually... it's the only thing I really write. ;)

Looking forward to seeing some of your work.

Hello Skip, Welcome to the Writing Forums.

If you haven't explored the site yet, you should probably do so soon. Newcomers often gravitate to the Lounge, the Word Games, or the Review Room, but there is much more to be discovered if you poke in the corners.

As for the Review Room, new joiners often wonder why we do things a bit differently on this site than on other writing sites. We emphasize reviewing as a critical writing skill. Training your eye by reviewing other people's work helps you improve your own writing even before you present it for others to see. Therefore, we ask members to review other people's writing before posting work of their own. The Review Room on this site, therefore, is a true workshop, not just a bulletin board for displaying your work. See this post, Why Write Reviews Before Posting My Work? for more information.

Enjoy your stay here, and have fun!
