Hope this is the correct place to put this. I was wondering if anyone here had Skype and would be willing to chat on a semi-regular basis. (Weekly, perhaps?) Just to encourage/help one another through rough times and cheer each other on through the good. A group chat would be awesome, as well, not just looking for one on one. EDIT: My skype is cheyenne.trumbo, for the record.
We use skype to visit with the grand kids. It seems to me that you are also referring to a chat room. Where folks can just sit and visit. Several forums I frequent has them. They are available and free to forums so maybe that would work here as well.
A chat room would be great, but they tend to be rather impersonal. @Lemex That is exactly what I am looking for.

I personally don't approve of randomly handing out your Skype to strangers. I mean I'm sure this forum is fairly safe, but online predators can be lurking anywhere.
My skype handle is thebusyape (it's a Shakespeare reference, if it sounds weird to anyone) and I hop on and am down to chat now and again.
I recently signed up to Skype and my Skype handle is the same as my forum handle. I don't accept invitations to Skype unless made through the forum and for forum/writing reasons, but within that context, I'm cool with it.
It would be kool to have something like a regularly scheduled writing circle with members on this site.
