Anybody know of any books on writing "soft science fiction"? If you do, please list the name of the author(s) and full title(s) of the book(s).
I don't know of any books on soft science fiction. I know Orson Scott Card has one on writing sci fi, but I can't pull the title out of memory for the life of me. I'd look at Michael Chrichton's writing for advice on how to write soft sci fi. Most of his works were cutting edge, with technology almost within our collective grasp. I'd read him, look at how he does things, and see how your writing fits.
*snaps fingers* That's it! I couldn't remember for the life of me. I'd still check Chrichton out...especially, Prey and The Andromeda Strain.
Well I had a bunch of his books in electronic form but they got corrupted somehow and I can't view them anymore
