Oh My GERSH! Why am I not getting alerts!?!?!?!?! Just now catching up on all the posts...my goodness. @Kingtype, Also, brilliant breaking of the fourth wall here. Gah, now I figure out how to work meek back in after her abnormally long silence...
@Love to Write @AnonyMouse Hey Is that RP you two are doing by any chance set in our world or in the future of it? I know it features mech buuuut am asking caaaauuuuse of reasons
Heeey, Caleb is just trying to find a method to drive the guars away... But kinda need Fox to cnfirm if that works.
To anonys point, the room does not have windows. Lanterns are hanging on the wall and the men have swords and daggers on their belts.
Caleb rolled a 4 so they didnt notice you and have become distracted! Though, they haven't exactly moved and are a little bit on edge. What to do next? discuss!
I've been thinkin....Shango can create an air bubble and block all noise inside it. We can just barge into the room, Shango can create the air bubble, and then we can wreck these guards. They are distracted, so that should help too. Edit: or Shango could suck all the air out of the quartermaster's chamber...and they'll just pass out from air deprivation or at least flail around choking and we can just swoop in and pummel them. Which one sounds better?
I vote we strike now. No tricks, no planning, just pick a target for each of us and charge in. The pirates' yelling at one another and flipping the table has already ruined stealth, so let's go in hard and shut this down quick, before others come to see what the commotion is about.
Stealth hadn't fail. Characters are still hidden. They're yelling 'cause one was cheating in cards. Even if more pirates show up, as long as characters remain hidden, they will blame the leak of water and the guard's idiocy.
Lix is right currently, there's been some table movement and a bit of yelling but not enough to worry those on deck, especially with the storm concealing all but the loudest of noises. Both are viable solutions.
We're only hidden to the pirates in the room. If someone comes up behind us, responding to the commotion, we're screwed. Fox's post was a little vague on our exact position, but we're either lurking in the hall or in the doorways of one of the rooms nearest where the cardplaying pirates are. (Caleb is the only one actually in the room with them.) If more pirates come, we're in a bad spot. I'd rather see the ones already here done away with, instead of waiting for more potential reinforcements to arrive. That's why I said stealth has failed; the pirates have already made noise. Why continue to be quiet? Any sounds of a scuffle would just blend in with what's already happening. EDIT: @Fan7asticMrFox Wait, flipping a table wasn't loud enough to alert anyone? LOL, if that's the case, what's to stop us from attacking outright? I thought we had to be super duper quiet to avoid alerting the rest of the crew and having all hell rain down upon us.
Stealth hasn't failed because yes the pirates made some noise, but it wasn't loud enough to be heard over the storm. We can still try to do something the smart way. I already suggested Shango trying to suck the air out of the room or block all sound with an air bubble. Which of those options do you think works best?
Storms can be pretty loud. Pirates generally argue a lot as well, so it comes to no surprise with others. And no, technically there's nothing stopping you "running"them through, but high pitched screams of death and war cries might just get the aboves attention. By all means attack them if that's your plan, I'd just advise doing it efficiently.
Okay. In that case, I vote for a coordinated strike, like I suggested in one of my other posts. Ranged weapons, each person picks a target and we take them out without even setting foot in there. We can couple that with Shango sucking the air out of the room. How quickly can he do that? Fast = explosive decompression. That's an easy way to clear a room, LOL. Messy, tho. Slow = altitude sickness (dizziness, disorientation, etc) they may pass out before they realize what's going on Gotta go (currently posting on my lunch break. Time's up). I'll see what you guys come up with later.
Shango is sucking the air out of the room. You guys should run in and attack after Fox says whether it worked or not, and I'll write that Shango made the air bubble once you're all inside.
