There's been a lot of spammers/advertisers on here lately..

More likely something wrong with the internet. But it's been that way (infested with spambots) for as long as I can remember, so I doubt it's a harbinger of the apocalypse.

On a serious note, yeah we've been getting a much larger volume of spammers lately than normal. Not sure if there's a reason to be honest, but we're trying to keep on top of it. If you see any, just report it and please don't reply to it.

    Thanks all.

Yes, folks, as Banzai has mentioned already, please do not reply to spam. It adds extra steps to the cleanup process which don't seem like a big deal until you are the one trying to clean up 15 different threads from one spammer and have to go through the tedium of separating everything out.

whenever you see a post that you think may be spam, just click on the 'report post' button [red triangle with '!' inside that appears at bottom left of the post, under poster's name... and do NOT post a reply...

Seems to me that trhe captha used when registering has either been cracked, or someone has been brute forcing it. Constant battle between spam and anti-spam measures.
