    Special request to you Aussies....

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by LordKyleOfEarth, May 10, 2009.

There is a movie, Love the Beast, which SHOULD have been released in Australia back in March. I don't think it has a scheduled US release date. I was wondering if it is out on DVD yet and, if so, could I buy a copy from you of you guys/gals? I'm pretty excited about the movie.

The film had a release date of 12th March (Eric Bana appeared on an Aus show to talk about the film around that time, it does look pretty awesome).
Couldn't tell you if it has a US release date, but if you're actually serious about wanting a copy, I might be able to hook you up (I sell stuff on eBay, anyway, so I have all the approriate ...er, tools >?).

There are ways to make any DVD play anywhere. One need only remove the region coding!

Australian DVD's are region 4 (US is region 1, from memory), but there are region free DVD players around, as well as the aforementioned method...

From what I can tell, the release date of 12th March was actually referring to the theatre release, but... as an independent Australian film (doco, no less), it generally tends to mean a shorter showing time and expedited DVD release, where they're likely to fare better in terms of popularity (i.e. sales/profits).

I'll let you know as soon as I know when I can get my hands on a copy.
