btw -if anyone thinks about trying to defeat Estelle with silly machines they'll have another thing coming (commenting about the post before my last one). Psyons beware, but this girl ai'nt gonna go down easy. she could make that creature that she just dreamed of if u get her mad enough.
i asked for permission from Darkthought actually (i rarely go that overpowered); and that is her limit other than completely destroying one platform with a black hole. shows just how strong a level one actually is lol. but the consequences of a black hole that big would kill her -the beast would leave her comatose for quite a while -and mentally affect her in ways i have yet to come up with... Edit: also, she has quite a few weaknesses. Put her in a situation where she can't see Matt, but his life is legitimately threatened, and she will have to give in. Also, catch her off guard and drug her, or get her in a situation where she can't use her powers, and she is likewise handicapped. Lack of oxygen works too, and she is physically weaker than you would think. i prefer to make you get creative when fighting my characters -just as the GM makes us get creative when fighting theirs. They aren't unbeatable.
I understand creativity, I was just wondering how you are going to limit her powers. Sure, she passed out but as soon as she becomes conscious, what is going to stop her from creating a black hole, or disintegrating the building or conjuring some horrifying monster to kill everyone?
the fact that she is scared of becoming a Wilder or Psyon. She actually uses her powers as little as possible unless provoked. Plus she focuses on only one enemy at a time. Edit: (again, i say she does not consider herself a Wilder...)
Running errand's today so I'll have to post later. Everyone is doing great keit I would just tone it down a bit she seems unstoppable. Or change her to maybe a level two?
*sigh* fine but she is not going to end up as level two. Guess the beast will just be the dream representing her fears -but any previous attacks she's done are legit.
You don't have to get rid of the beast I don't want to upset you just maybe tone it down or show a weekends and then later on go all super awesome I really hope I didn't upset you.
weakness u mean? lol. and dw -though i did ask for permission. she's actually the kind of char that starts out all strong and mighty, but then gets more vulnerable as time goes on. example: she didn't have anyone you could threaten to make her cooperate before -now with Matthew in the picture she does. she's kinda an anti-hero. i plan on having her end up really conflicted over what exactly she is up to the point where she may just shut down mentally and end up completely robotic. but then things can happen to change that....
g2g -we got homecoming tonight and this is the first time in all four years i've been to high school that im gonna get away with wearing a red dress.
Posted. Turns out Jansen couldn't sleep after all and and went for a walk and happened to bump into a certain Wilder for the second time.
figures. i get home and find three horses in the pen. my life is full of surprises, and it turns out those suckers got loose from somebody's farm and ended up on our place! *envy... i actually wanted to keep one of them...*
By the way I love coming home from a day of shopping to see these wonderful post. Sushi and writing it is tonight.
@Keitsumah about the potentially overpowering thing, I think you need to take the setting of this RP and the relative strenght of other characters into account. Estelle would've been a medium powered character in something like Tales of Exzalia, but right here she really does strike me as almost untouchable. This RP, and this is one of the reasons I like it so much, seems much more rooted when it comes to powers. Humans are just that, humans. Two or three bullets will get someone killed. Now Psyons and Wilders are more powerful of course, but being able to conjure up black holes is stretching it, in my opinion. You see having powers like these will leave you with completely inconsequential fights. Almost the only point of criticism I would have against ToE is thst the fights are meaningless. Everyone knows their characters will survive because almost everyone is superhuman. In this game I don't know if my character is going to survive and things are a lot more interesting bevause of it. Sorry for the rant but as you know, I try to build my characters around flaws and lack of power, not the other way around .
*cough* i DID change the post... the creature is just a figment of her imagination now... also i limited her to only single building destruction as for black holes, but if u noticed the beams did hit her occasionally. She can't block everything. and Mac i am depending on your char to be one of her biggest weaknesses -well so long as he is threatened when she can't see him, then she'd be forced to comply... and she is both physically and (speed wise) weaker than everyone else to an extreme without her powers. so if she gets drugged... well yeah she's helpless. plus, how can you expect someone who's emotions go totally out of whack and create those results not to seem dangerously powerful? Her weaknesses will become more exposed with time the more attached and more careful of other people she becomes. as for the horses, i got to rise the mare one more time before the owners took em. She was only eight and faster than any horse ive ever rode in my life. couldn't even dare to gallop!
Okay guys, I began to write a section for Jansen, and things got a little lengthy but no less important to his character growth. My first flashback so forgive me if it's rubbish. Enjoy.
omg... this is gonna be so freaking interesting because Nina is all innocent and stuff but Estelle is the complete opposite. Yet Jansen can see both sides. i wonder how that's gonna play out... as for the flash back, DUDE, that was your FIRST time!? i couldn't even tell!
