I groaned, now my small home was invaded, fun. I got up, and quickly grabbed my chart. "Nothing terrible then. Just an injury." I smiled, glad it hadn't been a concussion. I put the chart back, and rode home with Samuel. He briskly walked in and went to bed. I groaned as I opened the door. I gave a half-hearted smile as I looked at Neha sitting at the kitchen table with Ang just across from her. I groaned. "Hello." I said, taking a seat on the couch, and laying my chin on the top of it, looking their way, "How's the Princess and the Prince doing?" I said with a grin.
"Okay!" Ang Jin said excitedly, grabbing some Jiffy Pop, but then realized how much trouble he got into the last time he tried to make the metal-sealed popcorn. "Um...what should we make?" Ang Jin asked, nervously scratching the back of his neck. He turned to Gratia. "Do you have any...bisquick?"
Samuel didn't know why he was still in the stuffy apartment, the windows yet to be repaired, but he didn't want to go back. Ang Jin and Neha would follow him, when they were supposed to go to Egypt. "Idiots." He coughed to himself and turned to a side. Just then something unexpected happened. A purple chip fell from the roof on his chest. He immediately pulled it off, and then eyed it. Suddenly the chip exploded to reveal sleeping gas and fell on his back, fast asleep. Few ninjas quietly snuck out of the bathroom and injected him.
Just then, Ang Jin sensed something. It was the kind of gut feeling that you got when you knew that someone was in danger. He decided to tell Neha. "Neha, Gratia," Ang Jin said. "Something bad is going to happen."
I groaned looking at Ang. He looked totally serious. I got up, took my gun out and walked towards the guest room. “If there is anything wrong, it would be upstairs, or with Samuel. I haven’t heard a peep out of him.” I whispered, looking at Ang and Neha as they walked from behind me. “Ang and Neha, go look upstairs.” I said, pointing towards the steps, “I’m sure Samuel is fine, and if he isn’t he’s a big man and I can just assist him.” I said with a smile. “Let’s hope security is near.” I hoped Ang Jin was wrong. Suddenly the guest door splintered open, sending the door in pieces all around the living room. I frowned, raising my gun as two bulky ninjas jumped at me.
"I'll take the upstairs!" Ang Jin shouted. He ran up the stairs and into the bathroom, where two ninjas awaited. Ang Jin grabbed his pistol and shot one in the chest, the other in the leg so that he couldn't escape. Just then, two other ninjas were about to pounce on Ang Jin. Damn, Ang Jin thought. Where's Neha during all of this?
I shot up, as the nearest one jumped at me. He fell with a thud onto my legs, knocking me over. His blood covered my jeans but I didn't have time to utter a word of disgust, as the other one came at me with his blade. I quickly thrust myself to the side, knocking the body off my legs. The blade hit my couch, sending fluff out, as if it were blood. I got to my feet, as his lunged at me with his blade. I quickly fell to my side, as his blade fell into my carpet. I took my chance, and shot him in the back. His body went limp, and my white carpet once again turned crimson. God damnit.
I burst into the bathroom. Angi was cornered and the two ninjas were crouching onto him. "Deal with me, cowards." I spoke up. The ninjas whirled around and I saw a wave of fear flash across their face. I grinned. Their world knew me very well. If I wasn't wrong these people would turn out to worship me. I was right. The first ninja dropped his kada to the ground and knelt on one knee, touching my feet. The other one followed suit. I pickked up their kada and presented them back to the ninjas. They bowed. I pulled off their masks. "Madam, I'm Frotes and he's Heil, we people respect you and your contribution to the ninja society, and we'll be grateful always for your support, we're letting you go, but please," the first one whispered. "you must not let anyone know we are let you go. Not even Samuel. Believe us there are some rumours going about him, around the underworld circuit." "Oh I won't," I assured them. "But I need a favour from you." "Anything for you, the great Rouji, oh great ninja!" "I want you to be my spies,
I walked over the bodies, and ran into the bathroom where Samuel lay unconscious. I frowned, and checked his pulse. A sigh of relief, as it turned out to be normal. I dragged him from the stop, lifting him onto the extra bed. I quickly put the blankets over him, bringing warm, wet towel on his forehead. “C’mon Sammie. Wake up.” I said, patting him on the cheek. I walked from the room, leaving him to rest. I ran up the stairs, and saw two bodies lying just out of the bathroom. I ran towards the open door.
I looked up from where I was nursing Angi as Grata walked in. "What happened?" she asked me, glancing at Ang Jin, who had fainted, right when the ninjas left. Well, at least not before i made him promise he wouldn't tell anyone. "He fell unconscious. Those two butchers," I nodded towards the dead ninjas on the floor, "they were hammering him. I took care of them though."I smiled, "Where's Sammy?"
I looked at Neha, and back at Ang. Why did I sense she was lying? “Sammie is knocked out in his room.” I said, “Let me take the Prince, dear Princess.” I gave her a look of distaste, and picked Ang up, lifting him over my shoulder. I walked him over to the room I had made ready for him. I lay him on the futon, and tucked him in the bed. I put one of the stuffed toys in his arms, a little tiger. I smiled and gave him a kiss on the forehead. Such a cutie. I looked back, Neha giving me an odd smile. “What?” I snapped, “I was just being nice.” She looked taken back, and I looked at her apologetically. “Sorry.” I muttered, “What do we do now?”
I looked at her, smirking at the affection she showed towards Angi. She should be a mother. Well, so would I....but...I had time. I looked over at Angi. He'd begun to seem like a brother now. I walked over to him, and kissed him on the cheek. Then holding his hand, I replied, "I've informed the Neil. He'll be giving me a call sometime soon." <note: Neil, from now is an ex-officio member. He is the President of the organisation, and from now on, will feature regularly. Feel free to include him in your posts too. But he cannot be contacted directly. Even by Samuel. Only CEOs have that power. )
Samuel slowly opened his eyes, feel extremely weak. He didn't remember much from the knock out. Two stupid ninjas had taken him unawares. That's all he could make of it. A message had arrived on his mobile by now. Sorry. He groaned and felt terrible backache. What to talk of backache, he felt terrible nervous impulses surge throughout his body. At first he thought it was poison, but then he remembered his experiences with poisons. This wasn't how they felt. Then what was it? He squealed in pain, tears making way down his cheeks. He crawled out of bed, and howled: "Gratia! Neha! Someone help me!"
I heard him yell my name and I felt a pang of panic hit my heart. I ran down the steps, nearly slipping on the carpet. I ran into his room, and found him doubled over, on the floor in pain. “Samuel!” I cried, trying to pull him up. He screamed in pain and I quickly dropped him, and put my hand on his face. “Sammie, we’re going to take you to the hospital now.” He didn’t say anything I could understand as he muttered under his breath. I put his arm over mine, and I helped him walk to the door. I grabbed his car keys from his breast pocket, and watched as Neha helped me open the door. “Stay with Ang.” I muttered. I limped out with him on my shoulder. I put him in the back seat, and thrust the door shut. “Hang in there Sammie.” I said, as I put the key in the Porsche and started the car. I took off at full speed, and turned down the road. I had to get there as fast as possible, his life was on the line.
Ang Jin walked over to where Samuel was. He looked like he was in a lot of pain, but what could he do? He'd better leave this up to Gratia, but he hated feeling so weak...and useless in the current situation.
I turned around and walked inside the house. Angi was still unconscious. I looked at my watch. I had plently of time I took out my cell and pressed speed dial. "Hello Neha." "Neil, the plan's in action."
Samuel angrily breathed in and out, some negative thoughts being processed in his mind. There was something going on behind his back. He could tell - and he could no longer trust Neha. A new message had arrived by now. That Neha has made us suspicious, pal. "Me too." Samuel thought to himself and eased himself. That injection had some kind of abusive drug, or some toxic thing. But why would Neha - or whoever it really was - do this to him? Why the pain, why not just murder him? Samuel yawned, and rocked himself to sleep. He was tense and couldn't help getting exhausted.
I stopped in front of the emergency room doors, and ran in. "We've got a very sick man here!" I yelled, grabbing one of the nurses by the arm, "He's been poisoned or something!" I motioned for her to follow, and she came with a few others, a gurney rolling behind them. I stood out of the way, as they took him away. "I'll be back Sammie!" I said, getting into the car, and pulling around the back parking building.
"Marry me, babe." "You sure assume a lot, Helt." "C'mon Elizabeth, I love you honey." "I think so love, but.." "But what babe?" "But I've got a kid." "You know i don't care right?" "Yeah, but.." "I'll talk to you tommorow. I want to hear a yes. Bye." "Bye." I dropped the phone on the cradle, and paced up and down the room. This Elizabeth disguise was getting me. Not to mention the blonde wig. And not to mention the sexual advances of this guy. Now marriage. I sighed. It was part of my job. I had to deal with it. But....I grinned. He was dead meat!
I sat next to Sammie, my forehead to his hand. The beeping of the machines hitting my ears with every beat of his heart. They had said it was just a toxin, and had cleared it of his blood. Yet, he was still asleep, and this concerned me more than anything. I lifted my head, and pet his head, "C'mon Sammie. Come back to me." I got up from my seat, and sat on the edge of his bed, putting his hand on my lap and rubbed it. I sighed.
Samuel gradually felt the presence of another person by his side. His breathing became steadier as he interacted with the surroundings, opening his eyes with tiredness. He turned to see Gratia, who sat by his side. "Women. Never learn." He thought to himself and straightened up, not feeling the throbbing pain anymore. "What did the doctors say?" He asked immediately, after rubbing his eyes.
“It was a toxin in your blood.” I stated, getting up and giving him my biggest smile, “They couldn’t find what it was, so they just cleaned your blood. You’re doing good though.” I I quickly grabbed his car keys, “We really need to do a lock down. We can’t be staying at my house.” I said. “It’s too dangerous.” I thought of the condition of my home and cringed. Too dangerous for both man and home.
Samuel sighed and turned to get off from the bed. "Sure. My house it is." He scratched his back as he said so, completely exhausted. However, his friend's optimistic expressions strengthened him.
Raven grumbled a bit. It was probably about 3 hours now and James hadn't come to their usual meeting place yet. Raven was angry and his anger made him want to kill. And this need of killing made him want to take his knife out. To bad he couldn't. Since he was in an airport waiting for that dip**** James. Raven grumbled some more. he wanted to shut someones kid up real bad. A little girl with brown pigtails crying her little tears out. He growled this time. "Where the hell are you James?" he asked himself. Raven grumbled some more and sat in a sulkly manner. He was fighting his urge to kill everyone in this airport.
