Struggle Across the Tyrannical Dawn

"Then we're all in agreement, I bet we can find some place, LOW on the totem pole to stick him." I said and pointed at Ares, giving him a smirk. "Me on the other hand, I don't want any part in the government, a few get out of jail free cards might be nice though." I said, adding the last bit as an after thought. "Just let me know what you need to crush the dictator currently on the throne, and hopefully give me a shot at him." I thought thinking of my vengence.

 

Ares looks back with a grin. "You really do dislike me, don't you." He looks back at Emily and says "Very well, Empress Emily. I'll take the role of imperial advisor. I can your top advisor, your mouthpiece at senate meetings and for the media. Also, I'll get some of the tax money to invest in whatever project I choose. With your aproval ofcourse Empress. So, now we need to focuse on getting rid of Devil."

 

Emily smiled and looked at Ares.
"They just know I would be a better canditate," Emily said.
Arius smiled.
"I might have a simple solution of getting rid of the devil....It appears I will have to talk to my older brother," Arius said.

 

I couldn't help but smile as I crushed the fools hopes of becomeing the ruler of our new nation. It was his idea, so what did that have to do with being leader. George Washington didn't come up with the whole design of democracy but he got voted as the first president anyways. "You are a fool, and fools shouldn't lead." I replied to his comment about disliking him, not saying what I really wanted, dislike? No, loath sounded closer, not quiet hate but close.

I checked that my pistol was still on me and smirked, I might have to kill him if he went after her while we do this, I wouldn't miss this time, he had burned her as she had tried to leave, I wouldn't forgive him.

 

"Aww, are you still upset that I burned your girlfriend's arm? I'm sure she'll happily go with you once you kill Devil, you know, her husband. Ha, you call me a fool, and yet you're the one who is in love with the queen. Also, atleast I think before I act."

.......Besides, being the imperial advisor gives me plenty of influence, and power, without all the paperwork. Also, the people are more likely to see Emily as one of them.....

 

Emily actually had no clue what she was thinking. But Emily got up and looked at Ares in the eye. She slapped him and forgetting her strength made him fly ten feet to the other side of the room. The wall now had a crater in it.
Arius looked at Emily and then Ares and shook his head. He sighed calmly and closed his eyes once again.

 

Ares stands and laughs. "Its not the first time someone with super strength has hit me." He wipes the blood from his mouth and says "Emily, if you don't mind me asking, what was that for? All I did was respond to someone calling me a fool. Wouldn't you do the samething?"

 

I couldn't help but laugh at him as she chucked him. "And the fool keeps talking." I commented ammused. I liked her even better now, glade I had chossen her instead of that fool. Can' keep his mouth shut.

 

Emily stared at Ares.
"You don't try to mind f**k people," Emily said.
Then Emily turned bright red and looked away.
"I'm sorry, did I hit you to hard," Emily said.
Emily looked Ares again.
"I was just you know trying to get you to understand something," Emily said, "This embarrassing f**k this."
Emily began to create a chaos across the room throwing tables and glasses everywhere.

 

Ares looks over at Jack. "Is this Chaotic enough for you?"

Ares takes a deep breath, and then yells "Emily stop now!" in order to get her attention. He changes his voice so that it is calming. "Like I said, this isn't the first time someone with superstrength has hit me. I'm sorry if I sounded like the bad guy, its just that I don't trust him. He cares too much about the Queen and might betray us for her. Please calm down and relax Empress. Also, there is nothing to be embarassed about. Your not used to dealing with people, so you're bound to make a couple mistakes. Its ok, no one is mad at you."

 

Emily stares at Ares.
"Don't yell at me okay," Emily said, "I was embarrassed and I didn't know what to do so I destroyed some stuff Arius doesn't care when I do it I don't see why you have such a big deal."
Arius opens his eyes.
"I let you do it because I don't have the time or the energy to stop you," Arius said, "But please Ares if you don't like the way she vents don't yell at her."

 

"You are asking to much of this man. He will only do what he feels controls the others." I said and looked over at the book store owner. "He's the same really, but on a lesser level." I added, and then smirked as I created some random flashes of colorfull light, a small demon sitting on the table, an angel hovering in the air and a monkey playing the piano. "Now it's chaotic enough." I said amused, and considered if I should even be here with these guys, they don't seem to be getting anywhere quickly.

 

Ares smiles and says "I only did it to get your attention, I wasn't trying to chastise you. I apologize. Though I did mean what I said about you shouldn't get embarassed. Its only human to make mistakes from time to time." while ignoring the images that Jack created.

........She could make for a good ruler, but I hope I can get her mood swings down a bit.......

 

Arius got up his leather robe trailing behind him. He walked up to the boy and shooed away his illusions. Arius went down on his knees since he stood a pretty good height difference and he looked at the boy.
"As men that is what a government is about, control," Arius said, "As men that is our natural instinct you may not understand it because you are so young, but men will always try to control people....that is why woman are needed they balance out the world with their logic and reasoning."
Arius sighed and looked at Emily.
"Except maybe Emily she has logic and reasoning, but she doesn't put it to good use," Arius said.
Emily glared at Arius and then looked at Ares. She quickly looked away.
"You make me angry," Emily said to Ares.

 

I stepped to the side but the man saw me step back, both me and my illusion drew the gun, slowly, not aiming it just holding it. The illusions dropped and I stood next to him instead of infront of him. "As a human, who only wants freedom, I might have to kill you all sometime after the rebelion if things get to controling." I said softly, the threat evident, and slid the gun back up. "I might not be strong or fast, but clever I am."

 

"Really? Why? You don't seem like the type of person that dislikes people for no reason, so what did I do to upset you?" Ares turns his attention towards Arius and says "So, what is your plan to deal with Devil, anyways?"

.......Arius is right. People will always try to put themselves in a position of power. By putting myself in power, I can prevent people like Devil from taking over again........

 

Ares stood up to tower over the boy. And he looked at the boy in the eyes.
"You are to young to understand," Arius said, "The control is the push to one side of the road and not a other, but you are to young to understand that you think that man isn't letting me not go where I want and I am going to rebel, but the truth is that man is warning of something on the other side of the road may it be a car or may it not...but I won't say any more you are not ready to hear this because you are young."
Arius walked back to the couch and sat down. He closed his eyes once again and let in a deep sigh.
Emily stared at Ares.
"You tried to mind f**k someone and I don't like that," Emily said, "And I...."
Emily went to go pick up her mess.

 

I turned to awnser Ares first. "You are a con, a liar, and just plain arrogant, who wouldn't have a problem with you, you have all the hated features of a polotician." I turned to face the man who thought calling me a child was enough of a reason to run and hide behind his illogical logic. "And yes I meant that as an insult to poloticians." I added, glancing at Emily now, and then the book store owner. I sighed. "You two ain't to bad." I said walking away from the group so I did't have to deal with them.

 

He turns towards Jack and says "I am not a liar. I always say, what I believe." Ares walks back over to Emily and says "I only mindf**k people that I don't trust. I do it in order to gauge their reaction and see where they stand. I promise I'll never do it to you, or anyone who we can trust. Um, do you want any help cleaning that stuff up?" Ares looks at the woman, who's eyes seem to be avoiding him. He did notice they were red, which is quite odd, but also very attractive.

......I wonder what the part she didn't say was?.......

 

She waited for reports under the tent, her legs reclined. They had found nothing so far, a few civilians dead here and there, but nothing of use to her. She growled under her breath and looked at her guards. They were fully armed and protected, as they stood at every exit, ready.

“Looks like we’ll have to start killing them off until we find our prey.” She said with a smile, “Genocide?”

They looked at her with a nod and headed out. She silently slid the guns onto her hip, attaching a whip next to it. She caressed her knife, and grinned. She might get some action, whether she found them tonight or not. She couldn’t help but laugh as she walked out.

They marched forward, ignoring the soldiers that came to her side. She sliced any that got in her way, and soon enough they stopped reporting. She stopped at the nearest home to what remained of the bookstore, and kicked the door open. Her guards followed after, and she was greeted with the sound of a child’s whimper. She nudged them forward to search the house, and she went straight for the bedroom.

She let the door swing open and her eyes lay upon three children in a corner. They kneeled, their hands folding in prayer.

“God won’t help you.” She hissed, as she went close to them. They turned to look at her, the horror in their eyes. One of them stammered, starting to speak when she brought the sword to his neck.

“You should learn your place.”

With a quick motion the sharp blade thrust through his neck. The others ran, but didn’t get far as she put bullets through their heads. She walked from the building, as the screams of others from the home rang. Her girls followed quickly after, blood on their blades.

“We’ll keep going forward, until we find them. Tell the other soldiers to follow suit. I want a platoon in my area, NOW! We’ll scour the city until we find them.”

 

Emily quickly fixed her position. She looked even farther away from Ares.
"You can pick the stuff over there up," Emily said pointing to a good distance away from her.
Arius shook his head as Jack yelled at him, but he didn't mind.
"I'm going to take a bit of a nap," Arius said, "As I said I have fault in my power, so now I must rest, but I promise when I wake up I will have a plan."
Allan was still looking at the blueprint his grandfather had made. He was trying to find the bets route inside the castle. One route that the soldiers wouldn't know about and wouldn't be guarding.

 

"Don't know why you're looking at that so hard, I can get us most if not all of the way in, I said fading form view. "Just need someone to watch out for anyone with some power that'll find us, keep an eye open and get ready to kill anyone who reacts. Look, the anarchist came up with a plan, yippy." I said the last bit sarcasticly.

 

"A simple plan, from a simple mind." says Ares as he starts to clean up the mess that Emily made. "Hey, Em. If you have any ideas about stuff to do after you become Empress. let me now. I'll gladly listen, and offer any suggestion I can think off. Its what a good advisor should do."

He starts pushing things together in a pile, and looks around for a bag to put them in.

 

Emily stared at the floor.
"Well I wanted to create a Heroes Holiday...I mean if we stop Diablo don't you think we need our own holiday to you know honor us?" Emily said.
Emily turned bright red asking the question, but she made sure her black hair covered her face. Emily threw a bag at Ares.

Allan made a hush motion to Jack.
"I found a path that might get us in without being detected," Allan said.
Allan looked at it.
"I'm sure it will get us in, its a very old sewage system and it no longer works, that is why it wouldn't be guarded because they wouldn't think anyone knows about it,"

 

Ares catches the bag and says "That's a good idea. Though it should be for anyone that has fought against Devil. Hmm, we can make it that the first Heroes day is the day when Devil dies. I'm sure everyone will be more than happy to celebrate on that day." Ares gives her a smile and starts putting thing in the bag. After about a minute, he cuts his right thumb on a piece of glass. "Damn it. Hey Em, do you have any bandaids here?"
