'As covetousness is the root of all evil, so poverty is, I believe, the worst of all snares' - I want to use this quote from Moll Flanders for an essay that I'm working on, but I need the page number that it's from and I've been struggling to find it in the Oxford World Classics (2009) edition that I'm using. I was wondering if anyone could help me out. Many thanks.
The page number would vary depending on which edition of the book it was taken from. So you would need to include this for us to help =] x
and, for your citation, you'd have to included the edition, publication date and publisher... so, you'll have to take a trip to your local library and find out for yourself...
@raichelle - I've already said which edition it is, Oxford World Classics (2009) @mammamaia - I have all that information, the only thing I'm having trouble with is finding the page number. I've been looking for it for about a week now and still no luck.
@Banzai - I'm sorry but the edition I'm using doesn't have chapters, that's the main reason why it's so difficult to find.
...then honestly, I'd try and find one that does. It seems very odd that an OWC edition would exclude the chapters...
If you Google it, one edition comes up with this quote near the start of chapter 38, so maybe you're searching for it too near the beginning?
