Yes, I've wished for that myself. I take it you mean in the threads list view, because in the thread view you can look at the date on the first post on the first page of the thread. In addition to the thread list view at the forum level, other pages that show thread lists would benefit as well, such as the Show all threads started by <member> in the user profile. The problem is that every added field takes up more column space. But it might be worth it.
