    Suggestion for Ezine...

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by Kit, Apr 15, 2007.

How about including like a section on writing tips? With perhaps a "how to..." guide for accomplishing a specific writing related tasks or overcoming grammar difficulties?

    For example:

How to use [grammar point] effectively?
    How to develop characters...
How to find inspiration for a story...
    How to start a story...

    That type of thing...

I really like that idea. The only thing is someone would have to volunteer to write it, as I personally wouldn't have the time.

I could have a good go at doing it :) I'm not really much of a journalist but I do have a lot of free time and a lot of ideas...

trouble is, to be truly helpful, such a section should be written by a pro who is experienced in teaching the basics and finer points of the writer's art... otherwise, it could end up as the blind leading the blind...

and, even with someone knowledgable doing it, there are diverging opinions on just about all aspects of writing, even among the pros... so, to offer it up as a stone tablet of 'musts' to be followed by all, would be counterproductive, imo...

i think wf.com has a sticky that covers a lot of the basics... but i think it's made up of links to sites where the advice given is from more 'seasoned' sources than most of the forum members... you might want to take a look at that...
