Avani Reed (Health: 100%) (Level 5) "Why you little son of a-" William grabbed Pyria and shook her. "DON'T kill random things! That could have been a friend, or someone with important information! Hell, it could have been Tess! Or maybe, killing it just caused us to become enemies with whatever friends it had! And most of all, it could be something that's important for me to remember." Avani flew over to William and laid a hand on his arm. "William! Put her down." He probably didn't even realize what he was doing. "It's okay. It was an accident. And my guess is that wasn't something friendly or helpful. Or Tess." She used her most calming voice, or tried to at least before the poor girl got hurt. "Tess doesn't sing, William." She turned to the girl. "He's right though. You shouldn't kill random things. I would have thought your mother would have told you that before."
the result just as everyone seemed to relax a little the singing started again! It was at the same tune, the boat started drawing closer again and this time as they traveled more and more shadows appeared. Pyria raised her hand to blast them again when she suddenly stopped Children, the images of children broke from the gloom. They were merclan children 10, 50, no...100, hundreds of them! they stood on top of the water singing their tune but something about them was off. "Sirens, they're all sirens." Relix said with concern. Pyria pulled out her magic book, similar to the one Tess had. It flipped to a page and she read aloud. "They're actually all half breeds, a mix of human and merclan. Mixing the two races creates powerful sirens with more influence than just poor blooded merclan sirens. The human side providing the lungs to sing, and the mer side providing the beauty. Caustion, they are extremely dangerous. Fortunately they are only found in the sea of the lost, called because only 1% of ships make it out with their crew still on board." Pyria lifted her brow at the statement, "were not in the ocean we're in a lake...right?" The children were barely dressed a eather veil covering their bodies, their expression was mute and void. Pyria wanted to blast them again, but they were still children even if they were sirens. She suddenly felt bad for blasting that shadow, was it just a child she hit? Did she kill it? "I hope I didn't..." Pyria muttered. Then the mist began to fade and they stared in horror as they stared out at the massive expanse of the ocean. They were no where near Caldon, and as far as they knew, they were in the middle of nowhere. They were also heading towards a cavern a giant cave in the middle of the ocean, it's opening looked like the mouth of a monster. "Looks like someone really wanted to see us" Pyria said feeling nervous
Rellix - Irrational Phobias Rellix did not like where this was going. He ran to the prow of the ship and began to shout at the sirens, wildly swinging his hammer. "What in the Hells is the meaning of this?!?" he roared, "whatever it is that you're doing, you'd better quit it before I make ya shut yer traps. I don't like hitting kids, but I'll gladly make an exception for you lot!" He was more bluster than anything, having just had a vital part of his ship stolen and being stranded in the middle of the ocean. He was incredibly upset, and desperate times called for desperate measures.
Sea of the lost William grabbed Pyria and began shaking and yelling at her. River was on her feet in seconds and next thing William knew was that his hand was caught in River's grasp, painfully twisted. "Don't ever touch my daughter again! Do you understand me?" Pyria stood surprised by Rivers sudden fury, "whoa...mom...it's okay I'm not hurt. He's right though...I think I may have struck a child." Pyria said her face filled with worry. "And it looks like someone really wanted to see us." River, by this point, was on her feet. She wrapped her arms around Pyria protectively, cold sweat covering her arms. "I want you to go below deck. Stay hidden next to Rose. "...But I want to stay with you..." Pyria protested River spun Pyria around and bent to look her in the eye. "You have already disobeyed me once in this matter. Don't presume to do so again!" she said harshly. Pyria's face fell and River sighed tiredly. Her face softened and began to show signs of the strain guiding the ship had taken on her. "Please, don't argue with me. I won't be able to concentrate if I'm worried about your saftey. Go below and don't leave Rose's side." "Fine..." Pyria moaned as she trudged down below deck like a child sent to her room. Ears down, her face in a slight pout
Will Will, who was still somewhat dazed was looking intently out at the Siren children. They all looked so... they looked like Pyria when her mind had been wiped as a child, their eyes void of all life, dead. "Someone is controlling those children!" Will exclaimed. "Look at their eyes, they're just so blank, like the half-elf kids in Estal!" He instantly grew angry. This wasn't right. Seeing those children reminded him of Tess, half human, half mer. He prayed that Tess had nothing to do with this.
William (Level: 5|Expertise: 0|Shield: 100%) William grunted and shook River's hand off of his. "Get off of me. I could crush you like the lit-" By then, River was already talking to Pyria. Left alone for a second, he suddenly realized exactly what had happened to him. Get a hold of yourself! You're completely sane at the moment; you have no excuse to act like that. Sighing, he stared out at the lake - no, ocean - that was filled with child sirens. Journal entry: -have to remember to not use Well -don't assault children -now surrounded by sirens That was essentially the shortened form of it. William's entire entry would be alike to a monotonous re-telling of every little thing that had happened, which no one would want to read. Information was precious to William, which is perhaps why he got angry at Pyria. She had eliminated information before they could even know what it was.
Just Lebry being Lebry "Shhhh.... since when we have two mothers on the team" Said lazily Lebry while remembering the past days. "Someone is controlling those children!" Will exclaimed. "Look at their eyes, they're just so blank, like the half-elf kids in Estal!" Is that true? wondered Lebry. He stood up lazily and then raising his hand, he made appear a blade made of Nox in mid air. Then mercilessly he shot it to one of the kids. However Lebry's blood coming from his mouth indicated that he made sure of that blade to not hit the kid using The End. His objective was to test the reaction of the boys, if they were to be really.... empty, then not even being close to death would made them react. And it happened that way; the blade sended by Lebry passed one hair breadth at the right of one kid, and it didn't even move as a reaction "S***, you're right there, they're like those elves back there" God, more unimportant characters inside The Show of Lebry.... eeeer.... I mean.... Tales of Exzalia, yeah that's right
Mother of all sirens The child did little more than flinch at Lebries move. Whether it was enough to confirm magical brain washing one couldn't be certain. Not that it mattered, for the ship was now drifting through the cave, flanked on both sides by singing sirens. most were very young, all song their hollow tune with pale faces and sullen eyes. A top the water they song with out sieseing. Some time passed as the lightly dressed children sang on, as they drifted down the stream older and older Sirens bean to appear. Soon little girls were replaced by teenagers and teenagers, young adults, of course since mers don't show there age they all looked like young adults, beautiful to behold each one was desirable. The older sirens began to have an effect on the people on board, their songs invoking thoughts of lust in all who heard. Their melodies were starting to effect thier minds. "They're so pretty." Pyria was watching them from below deck, a small window allowed her to see them somewhat. One siren spotted her, the girl winked at her smiling, almost inviting her. Pyria ripped herself away from the window. "What the...why I'm I having these thoughts? We're not even different genders." She pulled out her book and began to read. "Sirens affect all who hear them, male and female...they only have this power over others when they have grown to sexual maturity." She kept reading up on them and then gasped. "Magic, the sirens are weaving magic when they sing! And their magic is attacking our brains without us even realizing it!" She closed the book and fought to ignore the growing urge to go to the siren who had called her. Tried to ignore the power their song had over her mind, the thoughts of love and lovemaking. "These monsters, they're not good. They'll kill you...I have to warn mother." With that she made her way up the stairs. On deck things were no better, they were all feeling the effects of the siren calls. "We, can't allow them to sing, or we're done for! Kill the older ones, they're the ones with the power over us." Will raised a spell at one of the female sirens "I don't want to do this," he said as the siren sung at him smiling innocently. He was about to fire, the singing stoped. A great burden seemed lifted off their minds, but the sirens call still rings in their heads, the power these creatures had over others was abhorrent. River seemed resistant to the call however, something in her elvish nature seemed more in control though with time even she would succumb. They looked around, the boat had drifted into a large cavern, a hole in the rock ceiling let moonlight into the chamber and it rested on a large throne like structure. Gold, gold was everywhere in this chamber and the boat quietly rested on a jewel laden beach. Ships much like the one they sailed, in of all sizes lay wrecked all across the golden shore and the bones of sailers passed lay undisturbed along the bottom of the shallow waters. Even more ships many centuries old lay floating in the water as if the people sailing the vessel just vanished and in the middle of all this, was Tess. Or so Will thought. the figure was sitting on the throne in the middle of the riches and bones, It looked like Tess for a moment but then the figure stood up. Will was pretty certain that if this was Tess, he wouldn't be so aroused, no this person was female. The most beautiful woman surely in all of Exzalia, a siren. She was a full blooded mer looking about 25 years, she had skimpy coverings only a dark veil covering her parts, and another viel covering her sublime breasts. Her skin was perfect in every way, radiant, her figure curved and angled to perfection, like the gods took extra care to construct her form. But it was her eyes that caught you, in her stare it was hard to turn away. Her lips were plump and sweet and her smile was lustful, and full of mischief. "my name, is Misven. And welcome, to my lair." This sublime creature treaded over the bones of countless sailers and made towards the ship. "guys! we have to leave, these sirens can weave mind magic through singi-" Pyria stopped cold when she saw Misven approach thier ship. She had just bursted through the door to warn everyone when Misven started to come forward. Though they were infatuated with her, they knew she was a siren, a monster as dangerous as any sea serpent, no even more so. They could not ignore the bones scattered around the hundreds of beautiful sirens, they could not allow their minds to break. "What do we do?" Pyria whispered, her eye's locked with Misvens frame.
River Hoya With a great amount of effort River tore her eyes away from the bewitchingly beautiful siren. The siren made her sick. She hated to imagine what her prescence was doing to the rest of the crew. What she was doing to Will. She felt Pyria's presence behind her. Turning she moved slowly through the transfixed passengers and up to Pyria who was also frozen. "What do we do?" Pyria whispered. River laid a hand over her daughter's eyes. "Don't look." She whispered. "Fix your eyes on her shadow, or the bones upon which she walks...but whatever you do. Don't look at her." River removed her hand from Pyria moving to the next person to repeat the procedure.
William (Level: 5|Expertise: 0|Shield: 100%) I shouldn't be thinking about another girl like this... Another girl? When were you in love with Avani? I'm not. River? Nope. Who is it? No one, I think. And why am I talking to myself? I hope I haven't become schizophrenic. So do I. But it's the only real explanation for there being 'another girl' when there was never a first one. Sighing, and with great effort, William tore his eyes away from Misven and turned to the rest of the group. "I have a lightning spell that could probably hit every siren in here. Do you think it'd distract them enough to escape?" He made his voice as soft as possible.
Lebry So to hear them, to watch them was dangerous. Lebry quickly realized what to do. He weaved a Nox spell that consisted on a big mass of shadow that mimicked a pitch black night without stars covering all of them in the boat, this way they wouldn't be able to saw at the sirens, neither they would saw them. But against the sing he couldn't do more than trying to obstruct the path to his ears with his hands, and even this wasn't enough. "Holy charon, this isn't good..... at this rate...... " I'll be consumed by the dark desire...
"I have a lightning spell that could probably hit every siren in here. Do you think it'd distract them enough to escape?" He made his voice as soft as possible. "Escape to where exactly?" Pyria snapped, mainly out of fear than anger, She at least managed to keep quiet. Deep down she was beginning to panic. "Even if we did run this cavern is surrounded by an ocean, and we're surrounded by hundreds of fast swimming sirens. Who only need to sing to have us groveling at their feet." Pyria wanted to look at her, her being was screaming to take a peak, she almost did too but managed to take control. "This is bad." Misven was getting closer to the ship, "What's wrong? are you shy?" She asked teasingly. Misven's voice was beautiful even when she spoke, it was also promiscuous, of course everything thing about her was promiscuous. Several Siren females ran up to Misven giggling like school girls, "I like the the scorch fiend so...strong." one chirped "No he's mine," another protested, you can have the elf. "Just because you're bisexual doesn't mean I have to be." They all burst out in laughter acting like it was all a big joke to them. And to believe most of these girls were no older than Pyria, to act in such a way. "Well I want the half elf, I love my lovers...exotic." More giggles, the one who said that was the same one who winked at her. "Come on half elf, I can show you the time of your life." "Oooh give me the one trying to weave the dark bubble!" Another said while she cast purifying waters on Lebrys shadow spell destroying it. "Children, we did not bring them here for that." Misven responded. "Awww...no fair you just want them for yourself Misven." Another moaned. Misven smiled. "Go on children, I'll bring back more toys when I get back." The sirens dispersed giggling to themselves, "who wants to make love to an elf anyway? I don't want a stick up my ass" More laughter, they continued their dark conversation as they moved away. "You know, if we wanted to harm you we would of done it by now, I did not bring you here to die, or become play things. No I have a different plan in mind. Don't worry, I won't hurt you." Misven caressed Wills chest as she spoke, she eye'd River smiling. "I only want to talk, but if you won't even look at me then I guess me and my daughters will just have to sing."
Eris, Professional Jealousy "Sirens", Eris spat. She tossed her hair and huffed. "They think they're hot stuff? HA! My Luring is just as good as their creepy songs..." Eris was feeling some professional jealousy. She was famed for charming men all over Exzalia, even bringing in bad guys who came willingly because of her looks. But stupid Sirens just hummed a tune and sunk ships, it was like a slap in the face. Eris was contemplating using her apple on one of those snooty halfbreeds, when one came aboard and asked for help. "Oh you need our help?", Eris called out. She snorted rudely. "Guess Sirens ain't all that!", she said to Emery.
Rellix - A Distraction? "Don't look." She whispered. "Fix your eyes on her shadow, or the bones upon which she walks...but whatever you do. Don't look at her." As the message got passed around, Rellix began to clear his head a little, the sirens' grip only slightly loosen, enough for him to think. "Alright," he whispered to the others, "we all've got some serious plans. Here's my idea, that beach is made of jewels and gold, right? Gold is a soft metal, so it melts easily. I've got a spell dedicated to heating and melting things without using visible fire, so that lady might not realize what we're doing until it's too late. How does that sound for a distraction? Or, if nobody likes that plan, I've also got a spell that will simultaneously dehydrate her, while obscuring her vision. It'll surround her with heat waves, so it'll make her look blurry. We can't entirely see her, she can't entirely see us. I mean, we'll still see where she's standing, but we won't see her beauty, same goes for her towards us. Though we'll still hear her singing, but I have no idea if being incredibly dehydrated is good for your voice." Rellix kept his head down and began to stare intently at his war-hammer. Not only did he take this time to ready it, in case he needed to draw some Charon from it, but it also served as a good reminder on why now would be a terrible time to die. I swear if I survive this, I'll actually meet everyone on this ship, he promised himself.
Rellix's plan sounded nice, but how far could they run? "You forget we are surrounded by an ocean? Again, even if we ran we would not get very far, we can't hope to win against hundreds of sirens." "What song should I sing? What song should I sing?" Misven pondered out loud, "Do, re, me, fa, so, la, te,-" "Stop!" Pyria yelled, she looked a Misven, trembling as her resolve felt weakened. "We'll... we'll talk. We really don't have another choice." Misven smiled with satisfaction. "but..on one condition." Pyria added, making Misven stare in puzzlement. "You...need to put on more clothes." Misven hissed, "The dead skin of animals is abhorrent to me, clothing goes against my nature." "Well I have elven clothing made from plants, we can't talk when you magic affects us so." Misven groaned. "Very well." Pyria turned to the others, "If we can talk our way out of this we should, fighting will simply get us swarmed. Steam, you will be our last resort, if things go bad, shoot her. But only if things go bad." With that pyria went inside, she brought out the baggiest clothing she could find, using the dullest colours. She brought it out and Misven scowled, "But she put them on." Now covered her powers were much less effective at least in the visual. Pyria could look at her without feeling like her mind was being influenced. The others too felt like a mental burden was lifted, but they were still surrounded by an army of sirens, and Misven could still sing. They had to handle this carefully.
Rellix - A Strained Smile Rellix heaved a great sigh as Misven put on clothes. Finally able to think straight, the Scorch Fiend put away his hammer. "Now, lets all talk about this in a civil manner. Misven, I am the captain of this vessel, please come with me. Talking on the deck is a bit, uncouth. Lets talk in the Captain's room," he addressed everyone with a smile, "Steam, please stay by my side. Pyria, nice thinking, I'd like you to join us. Emery, you'd make a good counter point to anything I might say, as well as a voice of reason. Any one else?" Only one thought flashed through Rellix's head, I had better get the power stones back or I will eat Cooked Siren for a week!
Eris, Upset "Oh Pyria, you forgot about meee!", Eris sang in a trilling soprano. Then in a low voice she said, "If push comes to shove I could simply choke her out with a vine, or use my apple to inconvenience her. I dunno who put you in charge, but don't hesitate to use me." Truth be told Eris actually wanted to fight, just to prove to the Siren witch she wasn't all that. She gave Misvren a black glare, if looks could kill Misvren would be six feet under.
Lebry and Alba. "Uuum, so we're gonna talk?" Asked Lebry who apparently was raised on mid air with his Althea wings spell, ready to escape and left all of them alone in the boat. "Sure, sure, sounds smart, after all dialogue had always worked the past days" Said with a sarcastic tone, while descending to the boat. After that he whispered to Alba. "You hid outta their sight... I don't know what's their position regarding uncastables" "Huh?, I never told you that I'm an unc....." Alba replied, but her voice was cut with Lebry's hand. ----------------------------- Eris was complaining, apparently she felt jelaousy when comparing her beauty to the siren's beauty. Lebry extended his hand and grabbed her right breast. "See? men prefer you, now stop complaining and think on what to do or shut up" Said with a harsh tone the Lorian.
Eris "I am not jealous!", Eris cried indignantly as she rubbed her boob. Then she held out her apple and it glowed fiercely. Suddenly Lebry's pants fell down around his ankles, revealing his undies. Eris grinned with satisfaction, and said, "And thanks for the compliment, but next time you try that I'll make you plant food. Got it, chicken wings?" She patted his cheek a little too roughly and turned her back.
Rellix Rellix nodded to Eris who seemed to be acting a bit like a spoiled child. "You should thank Pyria for her resolve, afterall, she's the only one that came up with a viable solution that didn't get anyone killed," As Rellix passed by Lebry, he whispered to him, "You are skilled at hiding and sneaking, no? Keep an eye on things while we're inside. At the first sign of trouble inside, I'll signal you. If there's trouble outside, signal me." "Now, if you'd care to join us inside?" Rellix asked Misven while holding open the door to the Captain's room.
what is her plan? Misven on trial Misven eyed Relix suspiciously. "Very well, but don't you try anything, my power is far greater than you realize." Misven went inside with the rest of them. She sat uncomfortably within her clothing but lived with it. "Now for why I brought you here. I am aware of your exploits, from 15 years ago to the present. I'm looking for someone, someone named Tess. My scrying revealed that you are searching for him too. No? I need your assistance in doing so, and you certainly need mine. What I'm offering is...a partnership in an effort to find him."
Eris "Rellix, is it? Charmed to meet you", Eris said dryly. "And puh-lease, if we all ganged up on Misvren we could totally take her. Then I could cast Nature Enhancement and have all her nasty children skewered with spines. But no, you all want to taaaalk." Eris scowled and swaggered over to the prow to glare at the treasure covered beach.
So as a counter Eris pull down Lebry's pants "Hey if you were to desperated you could had just asked. I got no problem with it" said while fixing his pants -------------------- I'm looking for someone, someone named Tess Tess, tess.... mmm. Lebry was inmersed on deep thought "No sir, we don't know any Tess... or at least I don't remember anyone called like that"
William (Level: 5|Expertise: 0|Shield: 100%) Now for why I brought you here. I am aware of your exploits, from 15 years ago to the present. I'm looking for someone, someone named Tess. My scrying revealed that you are searching for him too. No? I need your assistance in doing so, and you certainly need mine. What I'm offering is...a partnership in an effort to find him. William was furiously scribbling in his journal, grateful for Pyrai's cleverness. He probably couldn't do this if Misvern had still been scantily clothed. "Tess?" William thought he remembered the name. Hadn't he mentioned Tess when he was angry at Pyria? He thought it was someone that used to travel with him and Avani, but it had been so long... "Dammit!" Why couldn't he remember who Tess was? Or why they were searching for him? This was apparently important information, and information is precious. Very, very precious. Still, he didn't have this journal for nothing. Mumbling to himself, William started riffling through it. There had to be some information in there on where Tess had been.
