So.... we get the Well and Tess.... then we never return to this place, in other words we run away from the Sirens. I'm sure that in a kingdom they won't be able to catch us"

"Ya accept Misvens coming with us, thats why she asked for a room." Pyria retorted at Lebry, "Unless we kill her she going to be there when we find Tess, and then what? It seems we're taking a gamble no matter how we look at it."

    Eris, Intuition

Well, to have the approval of the obnoxious woman sure was something...

Unfortunately for Emery, Eris' power of Intuition had picked up on her errant thought. Eris wondered whether to exact vengeance or storm off. But her temper cooled and she giggled into her hand. "You think I am obnoxious?", Eris told Emery, "I read your mind, dear. I wish you could have told me sooner. There will be no concealed truths between us! Obnoxious, ha!" She giggled again, the sound of crystal bells. The startled doves flew away.

Eris wiped an imaginary tear from her cheek. Then she noticed that Misvren seemed to have her team mates wrapped around her pinky finger. Even Will, who had proved resistant to Eris' charms. Right then Eris vowed to make Will her's, just spite Misvren. A swarthy grin split her perfect sculpted lips.

"So does anyone have a plan of action? I'm not the leader here, I'm only the guided transport."

Crumpet snorted in a mix of contempt and amusement. "Plan? Where's the fun in a plan?" He strode up from behind the younger Scorch and pat him on the shoulder. "Just watch them stumble through the dark. It's a lot more fun!" He then rubbed his hands together and walked towards his quarters, muttering. "I haven't had this much fun since yesterday!"

With a new ally, or perhaps a new foe in their midst. The crew set out from the sirens liar to encounter a new problem. The sea of the lost, the most dangerous sea of Exzalia. Dark storm clouds touched the horizon off in the distance to the east, twisters spun wildly to the north, the sea seemed to be flashing it's warnings.

Even so, on the ship began to sail, through the starry night sky, under the moon, they set off into unknown wonders, and dangers.

Late that night as they slept, Pyria could hear Misven singing, at first she was afraid but this song was not meant to harm. There were no harmful magics in it's notes instead it was simply, a beautiful song done to express some yearning in the sirens heart. Slow, and sad.

"what..is her story?" Pyria wondered, before pushing it out of her mind, and going back to bed.

"Bah! Mom you're giving me no time to clean up!" Pip tepled as she dropped from the roof onto her mother to get at the seeds. "And i was so close too..." she muttered, stuffing them in by the beakfull before jumping to the floor.

"I'm going to find Lebry." she said briskly, heading below deck to check out the ship.

    Emery Rose

Emery stifled a laugh as her daughter couldn't resist the seeds. After all of the leftovers were gone, she heard Pip mutter that she wanted to find Lebry.

"Be careful...don't get into too much trouble!" Emery called after her, though wasn't sure if she heard. Oh well.

It was just her luck that she had Eris as a roommate. Seemed like no else wanted to room with her. Emery sighed, pondering the power of mind reading. She knew she would have to be more aware with the elf woman, knowing more than well what kind of emotions were bubbling inside her. Eris was quite like herself. Words lingered on her tongue and after sitting on her bunk, she spoke to the elf woman.

"Eris, if I may beg your pardon. From what you mentioned earlier...ask anybody and you will realize that obnoxious was my middle name. I was once like you, needy and power-hungry, wanting nothing more than the attention of others," Emery's face clouded over as the memories came to the forefront of her mind. "Please listen to me when I say, it's not worth it. No matter what you do, what you say, all you will get from this bunch is ignoring and no tolerance. Maybe you will get into a entertaining fight, but it will fade quickly. And, the next time you are almost dying, no one will offer to save you. Except if you're lucky an airmid will. Story of my life."

Her common smile turned into a frown when she thought about the past. It had taken fifteen years to learn to forgive...but it was impossible to forget.

    during the night

The night air was cool outside was cool as the crew slept warm in their cabins. All except one. Up on deck whirring could be heard, sometimes followed by cursing. Steam sat at the edge of the deck a fishing rod in hand and a small pile of fish next to him. Misven had finished singing a while ago and Steam had assumed she had gone to sleep. He was proved wrong when he heard he voice floating out of the shadows.

"And why are you out here...I don't know your name."

"I have problems sleeping, and I'm Steam." He said reeling in another fish. Inspecting it he decided it was too young to keep and threw it back. Like a ghost Misven floated over to him. His mechanical parts shone faintly, reflecting the moonlight.

"Well aren't you an oddity," Misven said poking his arm. "What's your story then?"

"Lost, the rest is still ongoing. Tell me yours."

"Where do I begin? I'm a 295 year old merclan woman who has seen more wars and fought more battles than I can count. I have loved and been loved, and now that that love is gone I have returned to the sea, living out the last of my days as a siren, a creature I once never dreamed of becoming. I have seen the rise and fall of countless wonders and not even this, well of darkness impresses me. To tell you my entire story would take a century."

295 years old, she certainly didn't look that old but then Steam remembered that merclans don't show their age. A trait many a human would envy.

He nodded quietly at her brief tale. There was more to her than meets the eye, and a lot meets the eye.

"Lebry?" Pip called quietly as she walked down a quiet hallway. "You here?"

Stopping by a door that was slightly ajar, she peeked inside and only found old supplies and crates. Storage room. Pip sighed; she really needed to ask him something involving her mom. Pip had seen the look on her face when she had first said that she had seen him at the council meeting, and wanted to know if there was something going on between them.

"Lebrrrrrrry!" she trilled, purposefully rolling the "r"s to get his attention if he heard her. Oh but he was in for a surprise. Of all the people in the group she had recognized, she had remembered him the clearest.

And if he remembered her and acted like the dumbstruck puppy he was when he had fed her as a chick it would be very easy to get some answers out of him. Pip tapped her beak with a finger pensively; maybe she had known how to use Attract since she was a baby after all -her mom had certianly commented that she attracted more attention than most.

Pip giggled and continued walking down the hall, swiping her feathers clean so that they were no longer dark brown but a flashy red.

"Shouldn't you be with your mother at this hours?"
Lebry's voice formed right behind Pip, and there he stood.

"And well is not good to be screaming while people ar trying to sleep" he said yawning.

He wondered what did the airmind want with him, and well curiosity is perhaps one of Lebry's weak point.

"Didn't Emery told you that is dangerous to got close to me or something like that?"

"Never heard that from her." Pip said, calmly turning aorund to look him in the eye with a smug grin plastered over her beak. "Especially since you might as well be my Father in a sense."

Crossing her arms behind her back, Pip let him know by the expression on her face that she knew more than what she appeared to be letting on.

"Pip-Pip" she cheeped as if she was a chick again, grinning impishly.

"Especially since you might as well be my Father in a sense."

"Uuum, if I recall correctly you kinda were reborn from yourself. So in a biological sense you're your own father or mother"

For Lebry though the words that really had a meaning where

    "Never heard that from her."

Could it be that there were people who didn't think of him as a monster? that felt weird but good in some sense. The bitter memories and the picture of Lebraia who ruined his life come to his mind.

Pip waved her hand in front of his face when he spaced out. Obviously he had some troubles of his own but she decided against asking him aobut them.

"Well can u answer me this, cuz my mom seemed to act a bit weird when i mentioned that i saw you at the council thingy and I'm wondering what the deal is? Did u use to be her boyfreind or something cuz..." she looked him over and grinned at the look on his face. "Eh, you wouldn't be a bad pair -but you could drop the totally hopeless look right there -you'll never get any girls with that and beleive me i know."

Pip managed to shut her beak before she said anything more that would overwhelm him if she already hadn't.

That was now an unexpected question, suddenly memories of the past assaulted Lebry's mind

"C'mon, aren't you a perfect student?, then go explore by yourself, if something happens light these fireworks. Don't dissapoint us"
"If you got scared just for a bit of blood, then you're useless to us <perfect student>"
"Would you like me to destroy River?"
"What's up? aren't you happy? she is completely broke now"

....A kiss, an slap, a death, a revival...

"Uuum, Pip. I think is the complete opposite of that... And well I'm not the kind of person who could worry about love and stuff like that. You'll see, I'm barely alive, and in constant danger."

    Lebraia was that constant danger

"If you consider myself as your father, then promise me to never got close to a girl with the same face than I"

Misven and Steam, pasts and futures

They were silent for a moment. just observing the moon, Misven after a little while turned and asked.

"You're human no? You look more like a machine, mind telling me how you got that way? or is that a sensetive topic?"

Steam didn't answer for a moment.

"It's more a case of I don't know. My earliest memory is waking on a beach with my sword and gun. I doubt I was born from anything, creatures of metal are not born they are made. Though I have living parts. I assume I have a brain, otherwise how could I be thinking? I've been told some of my organic parts match those of a Grovian. So far my thoughts are that I was some form of naval person, mabye a Grovian sailor. Just look at the coat, I'd show you my sword but I don't want to damage the deck."

Misven stared at him with a look of wonder. "Exzaliains aren't much for technology and machinery, Why with magic why would you ever need to invent even so much as a hammer and nails? But you...you're an engineering marvel. No if you were a Grovian soldier you, and everyone else would have had magic. More likely your the result of some Uncastable scientist, hmm...you know when I was young there were no uncastables. What is this world coming to?" Misven said with worry.

"You say that like I'm a bad thing. I'm much tougher than a Grovian soldier, I'm much stronger, I don't really need to eat - although I do like tea - and I barely sleep. My mechanical make up also makes me ideal for dealing with creatures like sirens." Steam said. If it could move his face would have been smirking. Misven could have sworn she heard quiet laughter.

"No I don't mean you your self is bad, how ever for some time now I have been feeling a slow weakening of eather, I think Uncastbles are nothing more than a side effect of some thing greater. I can't help but wonder, what will our world be like if it truely starts to disappear? wil all people need to be mechanical men?" Misven chuckled to her self.

"Of course eather can't just disappear so what am I talking about?" She thought for a moment, and then a new question arose.

" Tell me, what exsactly do you hope to accompish? Whats your goal?"

"My goal? I'd like to know who I was but beside that I don't really know. I'm here for the sake of it more than anything I guess."

"....I am 295 years old and have been all over Exzalia, the only race that has the technology to produce something like you are the drawfs, but they went exstinct a very, very long time ago, I'm afraid I don't think it's possible to explain your exsistance."

"You may be right," Steam said glumly. "Or mabye the dwaves aren't as extinct as we thought."

Steam stood picking up his fish and moving towards the cabin, they hadn't noticed the sun slowly rising as dawn broke.

"You're not all that bad Misven, at least not to me. I don't know your history with the others but you may call me friend. Now I'm off to make some breakfast."

"I think I'll go for a short swim. till next time Steam." With that the two went there ways, and a new day began.

    River and Will: Reconnecting

River leaned over the ship's bannister holding a cup of ginger-mint tea. It had helped the seasickness more than she thought it would. Pyria was sleeping in their cabin, or so she hoped, and here she was unable to sleep despite the long day. The stars and moon were obsured by dark clouds and her Elvin ears picked up strange noises in the distance. It sounded like a roaring waterfall but...different. She sighed. To many strange things lurked out on this ocean. Even Rose was pacing around the deck, clearly uneasy.

How could Pyria disobey her like that? Coming aboard even after River specifically told her it was too dangerous? Now she just had another thing to worry about. She wondered how Emery was handeling having her own daughter on board. She seemed fine. Not worried at all. River envied her. A noise behind her caused River to turn her head. Will had come up and crossed the deck before she had even heard him.

Will hadn't noticed River until she turned her head. He had taken off his armor and was wearing just plain travel clothes and soft leather boots, so he didn't make much noise when he walked. He had come up to check on Rose and get some fresh air. In the cabin, Misven's song echoed off the wood and, even though it wasn't magical, it still carried power.

Going to Rose he rubbed her muzzle, "It's alright girl, nothing to worry about." She seemed to calm down a little. He wasn't sure how to address River, so he just said, "Hey,"

"Hi. I'm glad you're alright. If William hadn't healed you..." She turned her head to look back over the ocean. "Well, I'm just grateful the Creator had her hand on you."

"I'm glad I'm alright too." He said with a smile. "I've... I've missed you." He really had too, even thought he hadn't always know it.

River gave him a bright smile, "And I, you. Despite how dire the situation had been in the grove, those few days were probably the best of my life."

Will turned away for a moment. He still couldn't quite let go of his resentment towards her, not enough to be honest in what he said next anyway. "It was so long ago... We were so young..." Part of him was screaming to tell her that it had been the best part of his life to, to take her in his arms and express his undying love. There was another part that told him she wasn't worth it, that she'd caused him to much pain to reconcile. Between those conflicting parts, he found the balance, like he always did. It hurt him more than he thought possible though.

River turned so that her back was to the railing and so that she could see Will's face better. She was about to ask what he had been up to all these years but his face had taken on a strange look. As if there was some sort of inner conflict inside he was trying to resolve. "Is something wrong?"

He was silent a moment, "No, nothing's wrong..." He wished he could say more, but he wasn't even sure himself what was going on in his head. So, he changed the subject. "So what's it like being a mother?" He asked, turning to her.

"Oh." River began dramatically, smiling widely before becoming more serious. "Its difficult and yet very rewarding. Raising Pyria all by myself was definetly an adventure. We are very close but I know she still wonders about her life before the "cleansing."

    "She doesn't remember anything?"

"No." River shook her head sadly. "And, as you can see, she has a strong will."
She took another sip of tea and asked, "What about you? What have you been up to these past 15 years?"

"Um... I don't think you realize how big of a question that is." He laughed. "I've been to 6 different kingdoms, a few of the islands above, and a few places that aren't on any of the maps. You wouldn't believe some of the things I've seen, people I've met." He said, thinking fondly on his time abroad. "I even lived on Charon for a while, dove for shellclams."

River chuckled quietly. "I regret that I didn't get to join you on your adventures. Then again if I had, I likely would have never adopted Pyria." She covered her mouth with her hand as a quiet yawn forced itself out. "I suppose fate has it's reasons." There was a moment of silence before River spoke again. "I should try and get some sleep. Its good to be fighting by your side again."

Will smiled at her. "I um... yeah." He said as she walked away. He was uncomfortable and conflicted, but he didn't want her to go. It was to much for him, so he just looked out at the water, Rose curled up beside him, until the pale light of dawn broke the horizon.

    Alba

Alba was over her bed, trying to sleep, but unnable to conceal her dream
Why had she come to so risky quest?
She was curious about Pyria who apparently wasn't a normal elf, she hasn't seem to many elves though, so she didn't noticed
She was curious about Lebreus who looked exactly like the lady that ruined her life
She was curious about the Well of Darkness and the boy called Tess, apparently that was the cause of the uncastables.

..... Would she became able to wield magic if she find this well of darkness?
.......That would surely change her life, giving her more chances to find and kill that woman.
......Kill the woman, no matter what happen, never change your objective

    Eris

Eris laughed at Emery. Not meanly, just a sudden outburst. "Oh dearie, I don't need attention--not from these layabouts anyway! I just want my name to go down in history...I know I look young, and don't tell anyone this, but I am nearing my sixties. I want to leave behind a legacy." Her eyes twinkled and her whole face beamed. "Its not enough to be a menacing bounty hunter. Everyone will sing my name after this adventure. I honestly couldn't care less about making friends. Besides, I've got you--you're my little gossip buddy."

She winked and then her mood became serious. "What're we gonna do about Misven?", Eris said in a low voice that only Emery could hear. "I bet if we wait til she sleeps, I can collapse the ceiling on her. Siren sandwich!" She covered her mouth and giggled again.

    William (Level: 5|Expertise: 0|Shield: 100%)

Looks like everyone's out on the deck tonight. Not that it was very surprising; it was a very scenic location. Although, I wonder where Avani is... probably below-deck or flying.

William scribbled a few more random facts in his journal: the time, the people on the deck, who was talking to who, etc. No details of the day escaped his pen. Even the stars were recorded, drawn on a separate page, a process he did weekly and has done for the past ten or so years; it was enough for any Exzalian astronomer to die for, but William wasn't knowledgeable in the field and thus couldn't draw any conclusions from it.

He was also mulling over Misven. She was certainly useful; anyone could use wealth and an army. Her powers were dangerous, though, the type of thing that was better off not existing in the natural world. I'll have to be careful around her.

William finished the last sentence of his entry, and the small ball of Charon that provided illumination popped out of existence. He sat there and mindlessly watched the sea, wondering where Tess was, or what he was doing. Thoughts on his past life were avoided; there was no point in thinking about what you couldn't remember.

Hearing the woman's laughter was humorous and Emery couldn't help but laugh too. Maybe she had misjudged the elf. Eris was not nearly as obnoxious as she had once been. Fifteen years ago, she hadn't dared to make jokes and laugh like a maniac like this woman.

Emery regained her composure, yet a smile still remained. "I don't know about that. The Siren doesn't seem like one that would give up her life to be a sandwich. She may even expect it. Plus, if you collapsed the ceiling, that may kill us all. So, I wouldn't do anything just yet, waiting for the right moment would probably be best."

    Misvens craftyness

Relix frowned. They were in a the lake of colors and now they're in the sea of the lost. Misven must have dragged them there using some sort of warping spell. Now...now they were lost. And in a very dangerous ocean.

For almost a full day they sailed with nothing but rough waters and terrifying sea creatures to greet them, One such creature swam under them and nearly smashed their ship with its dorsal fin.
"We're going to die out here, perhaps that was the Sirens plan all along." He muttered suspiciously. The others were thirsty, no fresh water in this ocean what so ever. As suspected Misven was fine, all she needed to do was take a quick dip and she was back to normal, she could also hunt for food under the water, this was her element, and it's possible the only reason they hadn't been eaten yet by large sea creatures is because Misven was with them.

On a blisteringly hot day Misven came out of the water looking refreshed, the others were sweltering unwilling to swim for the fear of being swallowed by the plethora of strange sea creatures. She walked up to the suffering crew and casually said.
"You know...I know exactly how to get to Lore. This is my ocean, I know it like the back of my hand. Of course that means you're going to have to trust the directions I give you. Well you don't have to if melting in the heat and going the wrong way is your preference."

Once again she had put them in a situation where they had little choice but to obey her desires, and she had done it so subtly they never even realized it.

Pyria sighed. "Merfolk were always known for their deception. Damn woman."

Misven just smiled "I'll let you people discuss it among your selfs, for now I think I'll take a dip." Misven undressed and jumped back into the water, splashing around like a giddy child.

"She's got us by the balls so to speak, Do we really have any choice?"

River glared at Misven as she jumped into the water.
"She's got us by the balls so to speak, Do we really have any choice?" Pyria said sullenly.
"Pyria!" River exclaimed tweaking Pyria's ear painfully. "Just because we are on a ship, doesn't mean you can speak like a salior."
River sighed and looked across the ocean as Pyria rubbed her ear. "But, you are right in your meaning. Unfortunetly we can't go on like this. She wants to find Tess as much as we do. I suggest we follow her directions for now."

"I agree." Will replied. "Her methods may be a bit... Unsavory, but she does seem to want the same thing as us. I say we let her have her way, for now."

"Pyria!" River exclaimed tweaking Pyria's ear painfully. "Just because we are on a ship, doesn't mean you can speak like a salior."

"I don't see a problem with that, Rellix snorted in amusement.

He looked around at his companions. Many were indeed sweltering under this heat. He hadn't noticed, to a Scorch Fiend, a day such as this could even be considered a bit cold. He frowned as he adressed the group.

"Misven has a point about our situation, but it's almost certainly her fault. The way I see it, we've got a pair of Airmids so we might as well put them to use. Emery, your tyke and Avani should scout ahead and see if they can spot land."

Misven chuckled at the airmid idea. Oh so instead of listening to the one who knows the ocean, we're going to waste time using the birds, searching for land that isn't there. What part of, I know this ocean like the back of my hand don't you understand?"
