He often wears darker colors that facilitate his natural affinity for shadows. Like most his race, Nyss is nearly identical to a human except for his pale skin, icy blue eyes, and bald head. Though he rarely wears it, he also possesses a Shadowcloak. This is more to remember the heritage of his people than for any real use. Personality: A deeply introverted soul, Nyss prefers to absorb himself in meditation and studies of lightsaber combat rather than socialize. However, Nyss is very fond of sparing matches and never misses and opportunity to better himself against another skilled opponent. Despite enjoying the friendly competition of a sparring bout, Nyss believes that true violence should never be considered as a first option to resolve any situation. He is polite to a fault, even going out of his way to help or be nice to people in his own quiet way. The Umbaran is very slow to anger, but due his history as a slave, the sight of the enslaved or their slavers can be enough to set him off.
That's an interesting character Darkthought. I look foreward to possibly meeting him. During my free-time while i'm away, my fellow Padawans, I have been tearing into the Star Wars movies. I just happen to have the collectors series so I've been watching all the documentaries, animation sequences, battle choreography and so on along with watching the extended editions of the movies. I've taken it on myself to create an extensive outline with things I found interesting or helpful that I believe would be enlightening for us all to read here. When I finish with the Phantom Menace I'll post the PDF file here and sequentially continue my vigorous examinations. Forgive me if this seems extreme lol but it's kind of compulsive for me to do so. Here is my Star Wars notes; couldn't get the file to work so i'll just post it here: Star Wars Research Star Wars I: Phantom Menace: General • When it comes to writing the story try to understand what is important and what is not. Try to critique your own creations to makes sure it strengthens the story line, not make it weak. Even if the scene is strong and good, it could still destroy the story. • Action scenes: Easy to make unenjoyable. If it’s too long, or gets broken up too much, the thrill is gone and the scene lags. Movie • Podraceing was a big thing in not just Tattooine, but all the Outer Rim territories. • When a lightsaber cuts through metal it leaves a red-hot residue along the cut. Also, when cutting through metal it shoots out white sparks, no matter the lightsaber’s color • When viewed from space, the planet of Naboo looks similar to earth. • “There’s always a bigger fish,” Qui-Gon Jinn • The clicking of the droids as they walk sound like insects @_@ • The planet of Tattooine looks like a mixture of light and dark orange when viewed from space. • “Fear is a path to the Dark Side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering,” Yoda. • Corescant looks like a grid work of lights on the dark side and a grey planet on the light side when viewed from space. • Naboo ships are very sleek and thin. In fact, many of Naboo’s weapons an ships follow a sleek an elegant design. • “Ouch time” cute saying of the Gungen generals • Majority of light saber’s are held with both hands and the traditional Jedi fighting style is dependent on this. Single-hand and Staff light sabers hold a different style and must be used accordingly. • When light sabers clash they emit an explosion of light. This light is often a mix of the two colors involved in the clash. • When a light saber goes through flesh it cauterizes the wound, this means that usually no bleeding is present. However, an initial spray of blood can be seen as the flesh is cut. • Jedi funerals are a solemn event, involving a cremation ceremony and a final “May the Force be with you.”
