Well hello. I'm sure there's a thousand new intro threads out there, so ... I'll keep mine short, confusing and to the point. I've been writing since I was 13 (so... more than half my life, ugh), but none of it has ever really been of any count. I've come to absorb your collective wisdom in whatever way I can. I've heard learning by osmosis is coming up - theoretically that means I can sleep on my laptop and still get all the info I want? I'm probably going to lurk in the shadows for a while, post in threads that are starting to die, and then wonder why everyone leaves when I come out to play.
Welcome, HelloSweetie! Considering the fact that osmosis is the process through which water moves across membranes, I'd have to suggest that you do not sleep on your laptop. Since you contain more water than the laptop it would mean that you would pump your laptop full of water, effectively short circuiting it during your sleep and potentially electrocuting yourself. Anyway, take a look at our New Member Quick Start to get going around here. Enjoy!
