"Something I Can Never Have" by Flyleaf (Nine Inch Nails Cover) I was a little leery about this band doing a NiN cover; one-man band Trent Reznor is untouchable, and this song in particular has already reached perfection status. That takes guts. But the band was able to modify the song to make it quite different from the original, including drums and more dominant guitars. The vocalist, Ms Lacey Mosley, I feel, exhibits the best of her vocals in this performance, and much like Reznor's version, the song grows in excellence as time progresses; the end left my jaw hanging. Absolutely fabulous. I'd never heard the band before, and I'm won over. You make this all go away / You make this all go away / I just want something / I just want something I can never have!
I dunno what the song I'm listening to is called in English... :/ 男兒當自強 - 成龍 Which is Jackie Chan singing a version of the Once Upon a Time in China theme.
"Hello" by Evanescence. "Scar Tissue" by Red Hot Chili Peppers (my all-time favorite song.) "Santa Monica" by Everclear.
I just pressed play in WMP to see what it thought I should listen to. ZZ en de Maskers - Greensleeves Let's just leave the question as to why I would want to listen to this, WHY HAVE I GOT THIS?
"See You When You're Forty" by Dido You think that you are complicated, deep mystery to all / Well it's taken me a while to see, you're not so special / All energy no meaning, with a lot of words / So paper thin that one real feeling, could knock you down / You think that misery will make you stand apart from the crowd / Well, if you had walked past me today, I wouldnt have picked you out. This woman speaks the truth. Happy people are happy, and sad people are sad, and that is the secret to life.
Black No. 1 by Type O Negative. Perhaps the cheesiest lyrics ever, but I like their music despite that flaw.
Phideaux, Micro Softdeathstar "There's no walkabout on the morning of the day of catastrophe/If you wake up finding it boring, try ignoring what you see." There's more depth and beauty on this one track than on entire albums I've heard before.
"Sous une Pluie d'Étoiles" by Cindy Daniel In English, it translates to "Under a Star Shower" (or a shower of stars; whatever! ). And, yes. The song is as beautiful as the title makes it sound. But more than that, it just brings back the fondest of memories. I speak English and Spanish, and can understand a few other languages like German and Italian to varying degrees, but no language sounds more beautiful to me than French. I want to learn French and Japanese one day.
Bed of Lies - Matchbox Twenty -edit Iris by Goo Goo Dolls just came on LOL ....I'm listening to pandora online radio and I have it on "matchbox twenty", hahaha. I'm in the mood for this sort of music. :\
