"The Sharpest Lives" by My Chemical Romance I feel like I should apologize for that. It's now "Kidney Thief" by P.O.S.
I feel like I should apologize for this one too: "Good Girls Go Bad" by Cobra Starship ^ Awesome music video. To be perfectly honest, I actually dislike most of MCR and Cobra Starship... but those songs are awesome. This is also my typical "happy" music. Do I get points back though, if I promise that "Heartless" by God Forbid is up next? <-- That's actually a lie though. Tina Turner's "What's Love Got to Do with It?" came on shuffle next. LOL, Lavarian, we became WF friends based on love of the same music, but I hid my not so shameful iTunes collection of every boy band (besides Hansen) from you. If it makes you feel any better, Ayreon is right above Backstreet Boys alphabetically.
Should I have heard of these 'My Chemical Romance' characters? Alizée, Tempête. One of my favourite songs, beautiful all around. Edit: Stratovarius, Dreamweaver. The whole song is good, but the main riff makes it. That's an exellent pairing. The best I managed was Alizée next to Amon Amarth. I have been in for numerous surprises when leaving an album playing without paying attention to iTunes.
Saw the musical (or play whatever you want to call it) Last year with the misses. I went in thinking, yeah yeah. Walked up having the time of my life. Cant wait so see it again in hopefully only a few years. Dream Theater - These walls
Yeah my friends were going on and on about it and we played a compilation of the music in orchestra so ui decided to see the movie just to see what all the hype was about, and ended up totally falling in love with it. Come Back to Me-David Cook
If the play/musical ever comes into town (or big city near you) do not hesitate, see it. Its only a thousand times better then the movie and listening to it on CD. (Im a broken record arn't I) Chimiara - Empire
"See You When You're Forty" by Dido She has the musical Midas Touch. Next on the list is ATB -- "Communicate" with artist Jades. Electronica, man, you cant top it. I'm so happy that pop music (IE Lady Gaga and Black Eyed Peas) is going in the more electric direction; it makes the radio more tolerable. Speedy, I havent seen Phantom yet, and I've seen a lot of musicals, hehe. I wont let myself see the movie until I've seen the musical, but I think I've already got the plot down. I've got the full soundtrack.
Coheed & Cambria, From Fear through the Eyes of Madness. As impressive as the solo is in Welcome Home, The Wishing Well suite, this track especially, is the highlight of the album for me. Chiming in on the Phantom of the Opera appreciation- I'm not normally a fan of Broadway musicals, I prefer Wagnerian operas, but I love Phantom. I was so disappointed when it left Toronto but at least I managed to see it twice.
Dragonslayer (the whole album) by Sunset Rubdown (its not nearly as metal as it sounds...its nice wholesome, lyrically stunning indie rock!) A major contendor for 2009 album of the year go, erm, get it now!
Neal Morse, The Conflict. The album it's off of is, in terms of the music, just about perfect. The lyrics... not so much. And to end it: Neal Morse, The Conclusion. If it had been the soundtrack and script for the Left Behind movies, they might not have sucked so much. Terrible theology aside.
