Calvin Harris - I'm Not Alone (Pendulum Cover) Wowsers. Most of the songs I have ever heard pale in front of this.
Say (All I need), One Republic... I only heard this song for the first time yesterday, and I already fell in love with it...
Oh my god. I was actually about to post a Rammstein song (Would have been creepy if it was the same one). Wowsers. Rammstein - Ich Will Wish they'd come back to Austrlia, been 10 years almost sincei saw them.
Oh my god, how lucky. I would love to see them more than anything. I think if I had to give everything I own just to see them, I would. I love 'Ich Will'. I'm listening to 'Sonne' now, another amazing one.
Rammstein rules. I'm extremely jealous of you, speedy. The ONE TIME they came to Iowa, I missed them. And I doubt they'll ever come back to America. They are touring in the fall, I believe. Or now, maybe... A new album is supposed to come out in fall as well. Rammstein - Herzeleid (Live)
I tried getting into another German band (which people keep talking about, but they are no Rammstein (Who year after year i keep going back to) The othe German band making big hits in Australia is Heaven Shall Burn - Endziet. Great fun first listen, but lost interest. They cant compete with brilliance. They had a good run in Australia, think i saw them twice from three in three years and a third in New Zealand. When you been to over 500 gigs, you seen some bands
Hah, y'all are in a Rammstein mood now. Mutter - Ramstein. (My god, the guitar in this.....amazing) Richard Z and Till Lindemann get me all hot under the collar. LOL. I've had such a crush on them both for years now...they're just so...harsh and dirty  .
Agreed. The lyrics to Mutter (and actually all of their lyrics) are quite well written. I actually have Till Lindemann's poetry book, Messer, and am working through it and translating it into English. Rammstein - Schtiel (one of their unreleased songs)
Sorry to brak the trend, but there was a band that always played with the Ramm when i saw them. A decent enough one too (The held their head above water for a very long time) Fear Factory - The Decent. The whole industry for the both (At the time 1990s) they clicked pretty good. Great times.
Is that Till's actual poetry, or poetry that he likes compiled together? I read that it was his, and that it was somebody elses that he admired and compiled together. I'm not sure which is true. Either way I'd love to have it.
That's the first song I heard by them, and they became one of my favourites right then. Much as I like their new stuff, their first four albums were perfect. On that note- VNV Nation, Solitary. Even just reading the lyrics for this song gives me chills, the "In this picture stands a man..." and "Sever the lines..." parts especially. One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, and even by VNV Nation's standards the lyrics are absolutely perfect.
"Illusion" was the first VNV song I ever heard, and that one's still one of my favourites too; I dont want you to hate for all the hurt that you feel; The world is just illusion, always trying to change you... I love "Solitary" too. The bit about If rain brings winds of change, let it rain on us forever is beautiful. I think one of my favourite songs is "Serial Killer," which is what I'm listening to right now. I like how you can really feel how angry he is in this song, and I've never known its message to not be understood and agreed upon. The last three stanzas are perfect --Where are the angels to guard? through the final promise You'll repent for what you've done... The "freedom" to kill another and another gets me every time. What I love is that music can be so different --Coheed's albums are very close to perfection, and the process has been masterful, and here is VNV Nation, a very different band with a very different mission-- and yet it's still so freaking awesome!
