Epica, Tides of Time. Probably my favourite from their excellent new album, only song I like more by them is Trois Verges because of the duet with Roy Khan.

November's Doom, When Desperation Fills the Void. Every time I post the song I mean to post some of my favourite lyrics, only to realise I'd included just about the whole song.

That song is so fantastic, I had to listen to it too.
To be honest, I have to wonder if there is a better love song out there, because this one is just so real.

Although, "Me and Mrs. Jones" by Billy Paul is pretty fantastic too, which is what I'm currently listening too. :)

Iced Earth, Come What May. My favourite song from last year, and it probably wouldn't even crack my top ten this year. Still an excellent song, my favourite from Iced Earth since Something Wicked.

and that transitioned right to Kali Yuga by Therion, which goes perfectly with something I'm working on.

All My Love by Led Zeppelin is a pretty real love song. It's about the singer's 5 year old son who died of stomach infection in 1977 when the band was away on tour.

I always find the end to be quite heart wrenching. I simply cannot imagine a more sad thing than one's child dying, nor a love stronger than a parent for his/her child.

Epica, White Waters. A duet between Simone Simons and Tony Kakko of Sonata Arctica, it's quite beautiful.
