Dying for it - The Vaselines (live in London version...these dudes are awesome...nirvana clearly drew heavily from them....)
"If These Walls Could Talk" by Dead Celebrity Status. Where is their next album?! Wikipedia is such a liar...
Parallel Universe - Red Hot Chili Peppers. Late night work sessions just became that bit more bearable.
"Sæglópur" by Sigur Rós. Roughly, the translation is "Lost at Sea." This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. And if you have a chance, you should watch the music video on YouTube --it's such an eerie video, and the images really take you places. (They also remind me why I will never go near an ocean. )
Fear Factory, Timelessness. When I was in highschool they were one of my favourite bands, but my tastes have changed quite a lot since then- this is one of a few of their songs I still like.
Oh No - Andrew Bird (Anyone who plays a string instrument should youtube "Andrew Bird Cemetery Gates" and watch in amazement)
A Passion Melancholic - DEPAPEPE Very cool Mexican-y acoustic guitar song written by two Japanese guys. Who'd have thought?
YOB, The Great Cessation. Odd as it may seem, the title is perfect for this track. In turns impenetrable and beautiful.
I'm super excited because I'm listening to a best of The B-52s album I stole from my mother No one is as cool as the B-52s...but it doesn't have Mesapotamia! I friggin love that song.....instead I'm currently on Devil In My Car.
The Last Remaining Light - Audioslave The seven moons and the seven suns. Heaven waits for those who run Down your winter and underneath your waves Where you watch and you wait And pray for the day So perrty.
Such Great Heights The Postal Service I am thinking it's a sign that the freckles In our eyes are mirror images and when We kiss they're perfectly aligned And I have to speculate that God himself Did make us into corresponding shapes like Puzzle pieces from the clay True, it may seem like a stretch, but Its thoughts like this that catch my troubled Head when you're away when I am missing you to death
"All I Ever Wanted" by Basshunter. Apparently the Swedish verison (called "DotA") is all about video games or something. Glad the English translation has more quality lyrics.
"Bleeding Heart" by Angra. Love love love love love love love love love love LOVEEEEEEEEE. They never come to midwest America though. We love you too!
