I approve! I still cant believe I didnt get tickets to her show. I could kill. "I See Right Through to You" by DJ Encore and Engelina. Very different from GaGa in the sense of presentation (Encore has virtually no representation here in the states) and in outlandish creativity --and in vocals, but similar in the sense that they're very 80s and club inspired, and very European sounding.
"Where Would You Like Them Left?" by Blaqk Audio. It is comprised of the singer and guitarist from AFI. I am not an AFI fan, but Blaqk Audio is an a-m-a-z-i-n-g electronica band. Especially this song. And every other song on their record. I wish they would put out a second one, but apparently Blaqk Audio is just a side project. It kind of sucks, because I think the side project is much better and could be much more successful than the rock band. I mean, even the singer is just phenomenally better singing in this particular style. (I hate his wailing screams with AFI; I love his SINGING with Blaqk Audio.) Gah. Lovelovelove.
It was more clever than I expected, and the music is solid electro-pop. Poker Face in particular makes... interesting... use of her pronounciation. Epica, Phantom Agony(live). An amazing performance of a very good song.
Playlist for the next twenty minutes or so: Someone - Earshot Stand - Candlebox This Dark Day - 12 Stones Downfall - Trust Company Defy You - The Offspring White Knuckles - Alter Bridge Your Going Down - Sick Puppies I think this works to wake up to today.
Yeah man. Myles Kennedy > Scott Stapp (that doesn't really take much to be better, though) The Battle of Evermore - Led Zeppelin
I know! They have been my favorite band for about three years now. Funny to think that three out of the four members are from Creed, a band which I can hardly stand because of their lead singer Scott Stapp.
