Visions of Atlantis, The Poem In subject matter and musical style, it forms a subtle contrast with my previous selection
Alice - Sunn O))) Sounds like a Francis Bacon painting plugged into an amplifier and turned the **** up.
I'm not much of a John Mayer fan, but I absolutely love this song, and "Your Body Is a Wonderland" (obviously ). I've been listening to Maria Mena, Anna Nalick, and Elliott Smith on repeat. And a little bit of Fiona Apple, mostly "Never Is a Promise." There is something so pretty about a raw voice and an acoustic guitar. And usually the lyrics seem to be a lot more powerful in these genres. Currently, it's "Catalyst" by Anna Nalick. There's something about this song that makes my insides hurt in a nice way. It's not even a sad song, not really. It's just that beautiful.
