Alvin and the Chipmunks-- The Christmas Song. A classic, one of my absolute faves. The only other holiday song I like is Winter Wonderland.
I only like 2 holiday songs. I admit it. I also like only 2 holiday movies (The Polar Express and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer ).
To each their own I suppose. Just seems odd to like those out of all the beautifully composed and catchy songs to choose from. I still don't think it gets any better than a classical guitar rendition of God Rest You Merry Gentlemen, though.
Love EJ! East Wes is one of my favorites, along with Forty Mile Town. I'm actually listening to one of my own songs. In my head, since I haven't recorded or even finished it yet. Tentative title: Commander. One of my best friend's many nicknames. I'm writing the song for her.
"The Beast and the Harlot" by Avenged Sevenfold from the City of Evil record. The band and the video are rockstars all the way through.
"Train Song" by Listener. YOUR LIFE IS INCOMPLETE WITHOUT THIS BEAUTIFUL AUDIO. Srs, go find this on YouTube. It's not quite a song as much as it is a philosophy set to a beat, and it's gorgeous. He finally said to me that he had one last cigarette to smoke, and then it was time to give it up. But he laughed and added he wasn't sure which to give up his life or the habit. He said, "It's my habits that made my fingers weak, when my chances came I couldn't grab it. "But it's my life that made it hard and when my opportunities were there for free I chose my habits." I half smiled and offered the most empathetic nod that I could conjure up, and said" I hear you brother; I've got problems too, but words won't fill your cup." The world has turned us into fooooooooools.
