Between the Buried and Me, Swim to the Moon. Slide into the water, Become one with the sea, Life seems so much smaller... Swim to the Moon. Between the Buried and Me, Alaska. Music this heavy shouldn't be so elegant. Between the Buried and Me, The Primer. The best way to describe this song... is big, much larger than its running length might lead you to believe. Its main riff is simply killer, one of my favourites.
I'm listening to the entire "Who Killed Amanda Palmer?" video series. It's an amazing story, and I'm glad I finally sat myself down to watch all nine videos. The current song playing is "Strength Through Music" which, of course, is by Amanda Palmer. I've always thought the piano is the best musical instrument because it's so versatile, but I've never heard it rock so hard. When I first saw the video, I wasnt sure what to expect, so when I finally understood that the kids in the video werent running for the bell, well. Gosh, I just sat there and wept. A sad weep, but a good one as well, if that makes sense. The art was just fantastic and tastefully done.
Utopia ~ Alanis Morissette We'd gather around All in a room Fasten our belts Engage in dialogue We'd all slow down Rest without guilt Not lie without fear Disagree sans jugement
I've forever loved Alanis. She always has the right words with which to comfort me. "Eyesore" by Maria Mena
Dragostea Din Tei - Ozone Some of you may know it as the "numma numma" song, but it's so much more than that. It's a beautiful love song (look at the translation), and they have other great songs as well.
Lolz. This song comes up all the time on my Pandora playlist. I actually realy enjoy it, although I havent bothered to find a proper translation. "Find You're Gone (Single Edit)" by Wolfsheim Another electronica song. Yay.
Between the Buried and Me, Colours. No matter how much I listen to it, entire sections still blow me away- in particular the five minutes comprising the end of Sun of Nothing and the beginning of Ants of the Sky is simply breathtaking.
Evergrey, Fail. It's amazing that this song tries to evoke feelings exactly opposite to how I feel right now.
King of Pain ~ Alanis Morissette There's a fossil that's trapped in a high cliff wall That's my soul up there There's a dead salmon frozen in a waterfall That's my soul up there There's a blue whale beached by a springtime's ebb That's my soul up there There's a butterfly trapped in a spider's web That's my soul up there
Under The Bridge - Red Hot Chili Peppers. Something to sing along to just before I get 9 hours of deserved shuteye.
