Lady Gaga, Alejandro. In addition to being a pretty sweet song, this track helped a character I'm working on click- this makes the character far more awesome than I'd previously imagined.

    Behemoth, He Who Breeds Pestilence.

Guilty of Being White by Minor Threat.

Yes, it is a song about racism, but not how you think. It is a song about how racism can be applied to ANY race, not just minorities.

Also, it's a REALLY good hardcore punk song. Ian McKaye is a hero.

Behemoth, Defiling Morality of Black God. I've always thought the first word in the title of this song was 'Defying,' and while that would certainly fit Behemoth's style, it was a little too straight forward. Now, it all makes sense.

^ Behemoth is gooood. I can't believe I missed them when they came here! I heard from very reliable sources (my friends) that the moshpit at their concert was nearly as insane and dangerous as Behemoth's overly-spiky stage costumes! :p

A friend was telling me about Minor Threat. It might have not have been racist in intent, but racist people have unfortunately hijacked the song and used it as their mantra. I suppose it's the risk you run on controversial territory.

Hold This Woe by Swallow the Sun.

Great death/doom. Better even than My Dying Bride, I think. Less over-the-top lyrics and cheesy, overly-morose behavior at least.

    EDIT:
So? People can twist anything to suit their pathetic needs. What idiots do with music I listen to is no concern of mine.

I won't post the link here because they are not allowed, but just look up the song on last.fm or Youtube. It is a very well-known hardcore song, it isn't difficult to find.

Oh, and listening to Rapid Fire, by Judas Priest!

Priest has over the top, ridiculous lyrics, but Halford sings it so well that it makes it good.

They know damn well it's crazy and lame, but that's what they're all about vs a band like Iron Maiden who are extremely pretentious and take themselves way too seriously.

I like Iron Maiden's music. Not my favorite and I have no idea what those guys are like in person, so I don't judge.

    Their music is rather silly.
