Thanks, guys. And to answer your question, Merc--I haven't broken them *yet* but my sister's derby wife has broken hers...I figure it's only a matter of time. Occasionally I skate wearing contacts, but my eyes get really dry, so going fast on skates, it makes my contacts almost fall out. Annoying. :/ Lemex, I hope you guys had a good time! Surfing is awesome.
I have it framed on my wall right next to my bed so I can look at it all the time. It's the best birthday present I've ever gotten. If you've never seen Thomas Kinkade's Disney Dreams collection you should look it up it's a really beautiful collection.
Okay, since I'm new here, I suppose I better post up... These pics are a bit goofier than I'd normally post on a forum but... I kind of feel right at home here already so I'll trust you guys with my unkempt, unsophisticated pics.
@hidden those pics look awesome! Especially the last one.. she does look like she's about to rip off your head! That's what I call winning determination. I wish we had something like that here. @Lemex, Awesome pics, hope you, your girlfriend, and friend had a blast surfing! @Melanie, I see peacocks all the time, as my neighbor have them. They're beautiful creatures! Also the lizard is pretty cool!
Where do you live? Roller derby is getting pretty popular, there might be a league near you! If so, you should totally check out a bout...it's pretty rad.
Because that's the setting of my sci-fi, Lemmy! xD The map [though much more improved, obviously in the story] is created by Archie and Brandon Tybalt. Though, I do wonder... Maybe I could make a "Texas Republic" located just about where Texas is today. Y'know, to appeal to all my Texan buddies and fellow WF-ers who are from Texas. xD
... Sorry about that. If it's of any comfort to you, my characters don't visit Earth that much and nothing attacks Earth.
I'm sorry. I spend an ungodly amount of time on an alternate history forum (my guilty pleasure) and that is the kind of map that'd be laughed at as ill-thought out. Why has all of Africa, a very disparate continent, united, for example?
Hell if I know. I was just messing around with the world map. Meh, I'm more of a fantasy/mystery dude than sci-fi. If I do a sci-fi, I keep fighting the urge to explain why there are humans wandering around that aren't part of Earth. (take Star Wars, for example. No Earth at all, yet there are humans.) But we're getting off topic. Let's resume posting pictures, 'k?
Is that map for your novel? Cause if it is you did a pretty awesome job! Maybe i could present my fantasy maps when im done...
