@ Fullmetal Xeno- Yes! Post it, you must!!

@ Terra- Yep, sure is. =)

I have another art I want to share, but I don't want to accidentally turn this into a thread where I dump my art, so...I'll just wait for someone else to post their pictures/arts! :D

    Very well.

They look like giants, I know, but they're not. xD

These are my two fantasy characters from a story I'm thinking about. Mihao's a blind elf ninja-assassin (cliched, I know. :p) and Akeshia's a warrior. I have entertained the notion that he's the son of a dwarven father and elf mother (as he does remind me of a dwarf), or he's an elf that's...vertically challenged shall we say. (though I do like the son of mixed race thing better.)

Don't worry, my dwarves do not live underground (calling them "underground dwellers", "Ore suckers", etc. are considered racial insults to them) and my elves aren't distant. :D

My main narrator is going to be Akeshia because I think the fantasy genre needs more female narrators.

If I ever form a band, I'm calling it Blind Elf Ninja-Assassin.

    They're cute :D

You know it's funny cause i had the same idea about changing my Male Protagonist to a Female before this post was made, and at one point i was still debating if i wanted to change the character or not. It's funny how we have ideas such as these, either before we realize them. I mention how long i thought about it cause i wanted to break the confusion on if i was copying or not, which i never intend to do on any writer. When i find out another writer already had the idea, i normally change it so i have my original ideas. But im still figuring out if i want to change my main protagonist from Male to Female. Like you said Link, female heroes are really uncommon in Fantasy that's actually i got the idea a month ago. My main charcter is a human, so im still trying to forge the idea if i should change it from a guy to a girl. I suppose it would be a cooler idea since my fictional world "Terra" has other qualities that i don't see very often in other fantasy books. So, why not?

I know "Terra" is based off the Latin term for "Earth", but i make it the perspective of the english form of saying it. In other languages in Terra it variates. Im not going to entirely fully develop all 27+ languages in the Terra universe not including extinct and sub-form languages. It took Tolkien a whole life time to develop 2, never mind 27! But my message is NOT to be like Tolkien. Inspired yes, rip-off no. :D And by the way Link nice concept, besides my idea on Female Heroes everything else i have is very different as far as i know. haha. I probably present my first Terra region on here, then wait to finish Region 5 and 6 after i spark up Region 4. Yeah, it's a pretty big universe. Most of Region 6 and parts of 5 are unknown land. Not including the fact Terra has lost regions underwater and a Region 7 and 8 non-discovered due to how they connect with parts of 5 and all of 6.

Um, like what? If you're going to tell Link the Writer that his map is full of cliches, then you should give some specific examples of said cliches and offer constructive advice on how he can make it less so.

Constructive advice is great, but unspecified insults are not.

Making a harsh comment like that without any back-up or helpful sentiment is just flat-out rude.

I would like to see you come up with something better. How about you inform us about why instead of just straight-up insulting it. Link is a great writer, and i find no cliches in this. And ive seen plenty of cliche maps before. This isn't one of those. Who would ever think about Canada taking over the US in this genre? Or the Asian Confederation? Yes Japan has been resembled as trying to take over the world but not as much as Russia. Either way it's still a brilliant structure and creativity of a map.

Some photos from this weekend's festival! Featuring my beautiful red fluffies.

These are all just from Day / Night One. It was two days and three nights. I'm interested to see how Night Two and Day Three's photos look (there was a professional photography company taking photos, and the rest of the photos aren't published yet --none of these are "mine;" they're free with the watermark); it started raining intermittently around 8PM (just as it got dark) and around 1AM started downpouring and got progressively worse all night and into the morning. My friends and I still danced in the rain before it got ridiculous, but mostly everyone just packed up and left on Day 3 by 12PM.

It was so much fun. I've been to multi-day festivals before, but before this weekend they had all been no-camping festivals, so we've either stayed with friends, in a hotel, or slept in the car. This was my first camping experience. It was a lot of fun, and I had a great time. I cant wait for the next big one!

And can I just say how much I love it when the event promoters hire professional photographers to capture the night? It makes it so much more enjoyable to remember... At events that don't have photographers, I always wish I had taken more photos to remember the night, but if I had been doing that, then I wouldn't have been dancing, laughing, meeting friends, giving & receiving light shows, exploring, etc... If you ever become an event promoter, ALWAYS hire photographers!

Partial Group Silly Photo. (We're missing six people in this photo; I wonder where they were!)

That looks awesome, Merc!! Especially that fire eating one--crazy!

Incidentally, I just found out that our best player on the league is a fire eater for Vegas' Renaissance Festival. I totally want to see her do it now.

It is hella fun --and I think everyone should go. You really do enter a completely different world... And it's very hard to return to the "real" one every time you get a little taste of heaven.

I love it because no one cares how you dress --you can wear a tux or a penguin costume or just street clothes and no one cares. Everyone is happy to meet you and it's easy to meet friends. I cant count the number of times I've said (and other people have come to my group and me saying) "Hey, it's nice to meet you. Blahblah, Oh, I wonder where my friends went." "It's no worries! We're your friends now!" :) I met some of my now best friends at events like that. Everyone shares everything, and no one ever gets mad at anyone. It can sometimes get a little crazy (the stereotypes usually are true), but you take care of your own.

I cant wait to go to the next one. I'm hella depressed that I wont be partying it up for Halloween though; I wont get to really have a Halloween this year --I am in a friend's wedding on Saturday the 29th, and I was going to go party on Monday in Nashville (because I don't have Tuesday classes), but I have a test the next evening. :( Fail!

I like to believe that it is possible to do both. :) You gotta sacrifice some sleep and peace of mind from time to time, but I think it's worth it in order to have the best of both worlds.

Ear cartilage done. I'm getting a labret next. :D I'm out of town right now with my oldest friend, and we went to her tattoo artist who pierced both of us for free... He's a raver too; I cracked up. Think I made a new friend. ;)

Looks neat, Merc! I've heard those hurt, though. Did it?

GRAH I should be sleeping. But instead I made a new outfit out of two old shirts I don't wear anymore. Hopefully they don't fall apart when I wear them to school tomorrow.

It actually didn't hurt at all! :) It wasn't even sore the next day. My pain tolerance is a little higher than average though. :p I didn't even hear anything pop like people told me I would. Then again, the piercer and my friend were talking to me and music was playing in the background, so I dunno. Maybe I'm speaking too soon, but I think this is going to be even easier than my lower earrings that were pierced just through flesh. It's not even yucky like my flesh ones were.

And hey! I used to make things out of old shirts all the time! :) I have a backpack made out of an old shirt that I bring to music festivals, and I remake shirts into skirts or just more fun shirts all the time. I'm collecting tee shirts right now to turn into a giant quilt. I need 64 (and have 20, give or take). I take donations from friends, find some at Goodwill, and use shirts that are too big or too small for me that are my own too.

    Thanks, James :D

T-shirt modifying is fun - I have a book full of instructions on how to make stuff out of shirts. Thinking about making a bag soon to use for school, since mine is falling apart.
Good luck with your quilt, Merc!
