Oooh I really like your coat! Every time I see fur coats in the shops I think they look stupid and then I see them on people and I'm like 'I want one'. So yeah, maybe I will when my coat falls to pieces (the lining is already torn).
Fank you both. :3 I love my boots to death; so warm and comfy. I love my bag too, even if is falling to pieces...
Of course the fur is fake! And so are the boots. :3 Good thing about being veggie is I have no compulsion to spend loads on evil furs and leathers. Fake is good- and cheap! And thank you! xx
does anyone watch Supernatural or know who Jensen Ackles is? Just wanted to share my pics with him - I went back for a visit to my hometown, Chicago, and also (like the dork that I am) went to a convention there.
Thank yoooou! People always look at it in the street. Jess, I know that guy! Cool. Is this at one of those massive-events convention thingies?
Yep twas a big convention - like I said I'm a dork hehe Oh and love your pic! Very cute and I love the coat
I met Buddy Wakefield, Anis Mojgani, and Derrick Brown last night! They came to perform for a local literary magazine's opening premiere party, and they all were on stage for about forty-five minutes each. I didn't cry (there was potential, depending on what poems were going to be performed), but I teared up during both Buddy's and Derrick's performances. And Anis made me just laugh and laugh and feel good about myself inside. I totally fan-girled out. >___< Which I've never done before, ever! Hah. But the minute I saw Buddy, the first thing I said was, "I love you." And without missing a beat he smiled at me and said, "Oh, I love you too." Which I thought was really sweet. Then I started babbling to Anis about how his poem "Shake the Dust" was the first poem I heard and was what got me interested in slam poetry, and I told Derrick that I didn't even know what to think about his performance because it took me on this incredible roller coaster and that I definitely wanted his book... It was so sweet. I ended up buying a signed copies of Derrick's new book called "Strange Light" & Buddy's latest book "Gentlemen Practice," and Buddy gave me a free poster too. I tried to buy Anis's book but I couldn't afford it and my card didn't go through. So he gave me a free CD instead! I feel so lucky that I heard about this; I only found out it was happening a few days ago. And because Anis is married now and Buddy doesn't actively tour anymore, this was the last time they'll be together for a while, so I was so happy I got to see one of the final performances. It was amazing. And everyone was really sweet and friendly with me. In fact, here's a photo of Buddy & me; he started dancing with me, and the girl taking the photo just kept snapping pictures of it, haha! Buddy and me! And Anis and me!

Lovely, Mercurial. Such breezy, joyful photos. They look like nice fellas. Buddy reminds me of some other famous person. Can't quite think who though.

So I'm undertaking a massive tailoring project for Christmas. I want to rework an old suit that belonged to my great uncle and give it to my brother. The problem is that the suit is styled for a bygone era and proportioned for a man with much more belly than either of us has. So I'm getting a bit of practice in on stuff from thrift stores. Check out my latest adventure, a lapel reworking for a super cool old Houndstooth sports coat. I think the right sleeve is a little shorter than the left, so I'll have to adjust that as well. That'll have to come after I re-work Wally's old suit to fit my brother; time is getting short.
Thanks, Art & Lydia! I was over the moon --still am. And, Kyle, it says that you were the last person to post in this thread, but I cant see a post by you. I'll assume it's positive. Art, I think Buddy resembles Bruce Willis a little bit.
