@Cogito If I could paint like that I'd be a happier person. One thing that caught my eye (besides the name) is the brown/black thing near the house. What is it?

@Cogito Yeah, we were staying literally right across the road from the beach. It was amazing.
And I thought your painting was a barn, not a house. And that the "brown/black thing" Orihalcon mentioned was a plow or disc or some other farming implement.

 

It's been a long time since I've been here, and I see very few people from the previous life here, but I just wanted to say: I'm grown up some !

Thanks to all that responded. Yes, it is a barn, and the tool leaning against it is a kind of old plow I've seen that can be used with or without an animal to pull it, particularly for small garden plots.

I do kind of like the painting, but there are also quite a few things I'd do differently if I did it over. I find watercolor very challenging, especially because you have to lay out the highlights first, and keep paint away from them.

No, it's stand-alone. It's 1/5 scale which makes it about eight inches tall from base to head.

LOL I know it looks ridiculous, but these eyes are 43 years old. You can actually see my work there on the screen. The original Spanish document to the left and my translation to the right. In order to keep both on screen and see the danged words, I need all the screen real estate I can get.

ha good guess but nope, think much much more modern. It's an actress, id be impressed if anyone got her or her character to be honest. In the ref im using she is in character.

had to google her as i had no idea who she was, still dont recognise her from anything to be honest but nope not her.

Some clues, two things she shares with myself, she's also from England and is the same age.
