Actually, MY sofa is a well-behaved green chesterfield...! So mine would go fine with your dog, @minstrel.

Testing... 1, 2, 3. I've been having a few diffs with the brightness/contrast/depth of my latest doodle, so I'm just gonna park a copy here and see what the levels look like. (I'm prepared for it to look like shite, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.)
Thanks you two! Yes.... -_- lol We're looking to take a New England/Canada cruise in the fall. I've always wanted to go to Maine, so this cruise would be the perfect opportunity. We also didn't have a wedding reception. So we're having a party for our close friends and family in Virginia in March, then one in Illinois in May! So we're just gunna drag out this wedding thing and get special treatment all year!! lol
Some stuff I made lately... it's amazing that I have some photos, because always tell everyone I'm too busy to make anything at all. Though, I did make more things that I just can't find photos of (birthday cake, cinnamon rolls, pumpkin bread, cowboy cookies, cakepops,...). What you see below are: sugar cookies, chocolate-coffee cupcakes with coffee/hazelnut buttercream, caramel corn and little chocolate cakes for Valentine's day. Oh, and bonus: making fun of the duckface (because it's what the cool people do, apparently).
@obsidian_cicatrix and i were having a short discussion over on the Happiness Thread about photography, and i wanted to share some of the photos, but sadly they are too big for the server to process, so i have put them on this link to be able to share some of what i saw while in Prague
Ha! This picture is deceiving as regards that. She sits down constantly and forcibly when I get to the hind quarters. When I get to the front quarters, she turns her head in the direction of where I'm cutting, and what I really need is for her to turn away to expose the area. All of this is easy enough at this point in the game. But the legs and tail. I have to muzzle her. She goes stark raving bonkers when I start doing her legs and tail. Her bark is high pitched and screamy. It's appalling. It all has to be done in stages and with breaks. It can take all day.
That's funny. One of my dogs plays head dodge when I try to wash or cut her face hair. If I hold her head she gags. So I hold her by the hair under her chin. It's my only option. Sounds mean but she doesn't yelp so I don't think it hurts her.
That sounds a bit like my cat when we're trying to cut her claws. If we're lucky we only need two people to do it (me and my mother), othertimes we have to call on my brother for assistance. And it's usually a good idea to arm oneself with a long-armed jumper and a pair of (thick) gloves.
I discovered a neat trick for kitty claw trim time. You'll need one of these: Use it to scruff your cat and you can get the nails trimmed with less difficulty. It doesn't invoke complete tonic immobility, but it does gentle the animal enough without hurting her/him.
This: When momma cats carry their babies, they grab them by the back of the neck (the scruff). This initiates an automatic response where they are semi-paralyzed. The trick works on adults too, not just babies. Find one of those clips that's been used well, so that it's not overly tight in its grip.
