Snapped this pair of fuzzballs in the park today. Quite pleased with it, caught the poses at just the right time.
Me in Nepal two years ago filming a documentary in a remote community of the Himalayas. The Camera is a sony AX-100, without the audio attachment at the time. It does surprisingly well for a 'handycam' and it's very robust (I smashed it around a bit) I'd recommend it or the later version for field work, complimenting a mirrorless like the Sony a7 series. Picture was taken by a team member on their iphone.
Spoiler: Flowers Thought I'd take some last shots of the garden before Summer wraps it up for the year.
I took a gander up to the local cemetery and took this snap of an old World War 1 memorial of a Monk on his knee raising a wreath of peace to the heavens. Spoiler: Memorial Spoiler: Found this then reflected on it Decided it was too deep for me then jaunted off down the road to the near by field to give this fella some carrots. Spoiler: Said carrot muncher
Spoiler: Angel Memorial Spoiler: Not my best pic of the day but my fave Saint Andrews is a magical place.
Today, this little floof graduated from not my cat (outside cat) to my cat (inside cat). I bought a litter box. It's official.
aww (that was inevitable) - was does Lele think of it ? These are my not my cats (they belong to the farm we live on)
Thanks, man. As a younger man, I never would have thought a rural address would be my choice, but quiet is not an easy thing to find in Puerto Rico. My culture does not prize stoic silence, but I have come to appreciate it, thus, the country. The occasional procession of escaped cows is always entertaining: Spoiler: Escaped Cows They live in the property behind mine, but find their way through the yard of my side neighbor and then out in front of my house, or, if I've left the gate open, into my yard. Sometimes I give them mangoes. Just a few. They get tipsy if they get too many. Fermentation and all that jazz. Spoiler: Cows like mangoes
Never seen it happen myself, but shortly after this beach-burbs boy moved to the country, my neighbor had a word with me about my generosity with the mangoes.
Possibly both? There are numerous mango trees on the property, so they tend to just go to waste. One of the trees is a super-producer and has lost limbs under the weight of its own fruit. I try to pick up nicer ones - ones I would keep for myself - to give to the cows.
Not just cows. It happens with elephants as well, although perhaps not with mangos. Quite a few different animals will ingest naturally fermented fruit. The smell draws them in.
