That might be on the conservative side. Foxwoods in Connecticut... largest in the world at the time, but likely surpassed since then. My badge number was in the 27000s, and they were in the 40K range when I left four years later. This pic doesn't even include the MGM expansion on the other side, which came 10 years after I was gone.
Went for a trip this saturday with a friend to a park near the port. He's the one exercising his parachute. Lovely day, lovely energy of the surrounding crowds which helped frame some pretty good pics, although it was so sunny I could barely see what I was shooting through my phone in most. Turned out okay. I only tweaked a few in ps to somehow simulate the values of the colors as I saw them. At least as I remember them... semi blind and all... I only grayscaled one.
And two Sunday extras. These are from a place near my home. It's a rundown, abandoned construction site with a view.

I had learned how to take long exposure pictures at night. In fact I used to ride my bike to nice locations, with a tripod strapped to the bike frame: 100_0012.JPG by Darkmatters, on Flickr nightscape0013 by Darkmatters, on Flickr nightscape0020 by Darkmatters, on Flickr Redtree by Darkmatters, on Flickr Then I learned to take panoramic shots: Vastoriginal by Darkmatters, on Flickr 100_0430.JPG by Darkmatters, on Flickr Night 001 fixed by Darkmatters, on Flickr fogarama 2 by Darkmatters, on Flickr rondolet by Darkmatters, on Flickr
Snow! Now, I know (now at least) that i kinda fucked up the panoramics, but at least they have style. It was really hard taking them, don't judge me... Enter the Magic Forest: Walk in the Magic Forest: Keep walking in the Magic Forest: Lose zee path in zee Magic Forest: Step inside the blizzard: Find refuge (but mind the collapsing trees surrounding you): Ah, behold this silent nature: And my favourites: Humans and dogs playing: And now zee lovely f*ck *ps:
I accidentally clicked the picture for the full size and my curved huge monitor enveloped me in rectangular tiles. I was scrolling around trying to find that bird hiding haha. That picture is enormous on here!
I know. And that bird is so tiny. Edit: I’ve just put the photos on as a thumbnail instead. Too much floor. Too little bird. lol
My hotel room view from working LA ain't half bad these two days. I can dig it. Spoiler: Inner city facing the outskirts and viewing hotels
Sweeeet! Nothing like sleeping on the company's dime. The job and travel might suck, but the expense perks are pretty cool.
The job has its perks. I do have a month working in LA though, which is probably going to get old fast. But, free food, gas, and board along with overtime is always a welcome. Gotta keep rollin for them extra dollars!
